Would the greats between 1900-1920's be as great today with bigger gloves and rules? Now reverse it

Would the stringent rules and bigger gloves affect the greats of yesterday now reverse it would the greats of today have a problem if they fought in that era of smaller gloves, longer distance's, the difference in rules.
