Would the heavyweight division be better off without the Klitschko brothers?

Most of the hate is occasioned by their knobhead fanbase rather than the fighters themselves.

From an obejective boxing fan´s perspective it would be best if the Old offensive Wlad was still around. He would lose a fight from time to time then come back and destroy an opponent in amazing fashion. He would probably become a 10 time world champion.Win a title...lose a title...win a title...

Agree totally. The heavyweight division does well when there is a proven dominant champion. The current situation is unique and not only does it tarnish the current heavyweight division but will also go against both Klitschko's legacies. It will be interesting to see how history judges this rather bizarre state of affairs in the future.

I guess some people would prefer to have Ruiz,Brewster and Byrd as champs.

Much worse off when they held the belts.

The heavyweight division has been bad for years. We need unification. One brother has got to go. U can't have 2 champs as brothers. We need one unified champ, period.

what a dumb question. of course not. how can taking away two of the best heavyweights out of the division make the division better? more competitive? yeah sure, but not better.

Of course it would not be better. It would be like the 50s without Marciano, like the 80s without Holmes or Tyson.

How is it dum? Their has not been a competitive fight for a heavyweight title involving these two for years, are you telling me that is also good for the division? It would obviously not be better talent wise but in terms of overall interest that would be restored to the division due to competitiveness and much more uncertainty as to who will win the title fights i think a case can be made.

Better without one of them, yes. Both? the titles would proably be even more split.

    1. Ali and Frazier were not brothers.
    2. Brothers do not, will not and should not fight each other. Could you hit your brother at will?
    3. Do not argue on the given facts (above mentioned). Your arguments are lame!

    1. But they were both brothas!

    2. I do not claim to be the best fighter. The one guy tough enough to beat everyone else. And yes I could hit my brother at will. Should I, is a completely different question.

    3. 1 was a fact,. 2 was an opinion ( a very good and understandable opinion, but still an opinion). I have argued the given "facts" and my argument was not that lame! Okay, maybe just a little bit on that first one.

Was the division more interesting when the belts were held by guys like Valuev, Ibragimov, Ruiz, Briggs and Rahman?

I'll take boring Klit fights any time over watching nonathletic anti-boxers battle it out amongst them.

How would taking away the two best fighters in the division make it better? Ridiculous.

It's not even like they're ducking all the top contenders.
