Would the Klitchko's still "RUN" the HW division if they fought from 1983-93?

In this manner, no. But would they still be a major force and above the rest of the division, probably. I always felt Tyson was overrated, and a good boxing big man should be able to beat him.

Hell no! They still would have been some hell of a contenders. They are riding off of physical attribute dominance now.

They would have been so punch drunk after their first 5 matches at the elite level they would have retired.

Vitali? Don't make me laugh. Guy's got one of the hardest chins ever.

'Punch drunk' and 'Vitali' don't belong in the same sentence.

He also seems to be the more physically fragile of the two. His body would have given out twice as fast.

If you want an answer to questions like this look at how these guys did when they did face fading guys from that era. They were losing. Now they are in a class apart.

They are good, but they are getting over on physical attributes and dedication that the rest of the division lacks. More power to them, but let's not make something of them that they are not.

Tyson's the only one I see as the favorite against both of them, as neither of them have the foot speed to keep away from tyson or the speed to tie him up before he gets in the better punches. Bowe and Holyfield would have a decent chance of an upset. Everyone else gets at best 8-4 losses or KO'd

well he would of been competitive, but i don't think he would of been good enough to run the division, and definitly in my opinion dominate the division like he's been doing now. you got to remember were talking about vitali, a fighter who lost to a old shot lennox lewis.

This sentence alone is proof you are nuts.

He couldnt beat him at 38 years old and out of shape. He ain't gonna beat him before that.

I'd pick either Klitchko to beat all on that list by KO exept Larry, Mike and possibly Ray

Klits would have beat most but the guys like Holmes Tyson Holyfield Tucker Weaver Spinks Coetzee could probably have made it interesting.

and that's just using common sense. he's basically saying , yeah he had trouble against the rusty old version of lennox, but don't worry he could beat a prime active version of lennox.

Body tearing down and punch drunk are two completely different things, I don't get you?:huh

I'm not making them out to be something they aren't, I know exactly how highly I think of Vitali.

The man is a hard fight H2H for any HW in history.

I mean think of it logically, Vitali, never ko'd, never knocked down, huge ko %, hardly ever lost a round.

The opposition is quite thin but he dominates them the same way great fighters would.

I make most ATG's favorite over him, but wouldn't be surprised to see Vitali pick up a few wins either.

No. In that time fperiod, an aging Holmes would probably make things competitive, (and maybe sneak out 1 win) I'd expect Tyson to dominate and probably KO Wlad and have a more interesting match with Vitali, (and I'm no Tyson fanboy) while a prime Holyfield and a slightly green Lennox Lewis are also very difficult assignments.

Bowe might have a chance if he could draw them into a brawl, but Bowe's prime was so short and he was so troubled when facing someone who could jab with him, (for ****'s sake, he let Evander outjab him at times in both their first and second bouts despite Holyfield having a significant reach disadvantage) that they would have something of an advantage over him.

So many of the other guys blew so hot and cold that it would be hard to say. Some would have a chance because of either having a good chin, a big punch, or both. (Mercer is the main candidate I'm thinking of that has both.)

Two names worth tossing into the mix: Razor Ruddock, and the ultimate puncher's chance x-factor: George Foreman.
