Would the Klitchko's still "RUN" the HW division if they fought from 1983-93?

Those saying Ray Mercer beats Wlad are touching themselves..............they musta forgot how badly Wlad beat that ass.

Granted Mercer was older but no one has ever beaten him that badly before or since.

i think that wlad is to fast for holyfield(not faster than holyfield, but you not what i mean), wlad is very fast for his size, faster than lewis, he has great footwork and a better and way harder jab than lewis. i can see holyfield having big problems to get trough the jab, and think that wlad will beat him in a very boring fight in a wide ud over 12 rounds, because wlad has the power to stun holyfield and break his will to go forward all the time.
vitali besides has a good range finder jab, not that powerful and not that fast, i can see holyfield going trough the jab and work vitalis body very bad, vitali could get injured, his infighting is bad, and holyfield could try some uppercuts and short hooks on the inside and cut vitali.
thats why i think vitali would have big problems with holyfield

Mercer landed about 12 punches on Wlad through 6 or so rounds and took a vicious beating in the process, maybe a prime Mercer could last a few more rounds and land more punches but he would still get destroyed.

I don't think Spinks could take half the shots Byrd took and continue, but otherwise I agree, Spinks would get spanked.

Exactly i look at that list and its like wow and i thought todays divison was weak that was a ten year span and that is the best list of names he can come up with damn thats just sad...
man gomez, peter, rahman, thompson, johnson, chagaev, and Arreola, Maybe Haye would do favorably against quite a few of those, and thats just of this year i can go back ten years and find better fighters then most on that list

So he can beat him if got injured or cut? That is not a 60% chance of beating him.
    1. Vitali has never been outboxed in the ring.
    2. Never seen anybody work Vitali's body or get a chance to work his body, let alone hurt him.
    3. Vitali has never been outjabbed.
    4. Vitali's infighting is a question mark mainly because he controls the distance so well and can fight going backward.

I see Vitali counter punching the **** out of Holyfield to win a lopsided UD decision.

yeah but the probability that vitali can get injured or cut is quite high.
to you third point, vitali wasn't outjabbed, but his jab looks a lot weaker than wlads jab, the power of the jab is way under wlads, and it's not that fast, and holyfield is a warrior, so he could have the chance to avoid the jab and go inside... thats holyfield chance, there is abig possibilty that vitali can counter punch the **** out of holyfield:thumbsup but i think holyfield could take it.
against wlad i can't see holyfield even winning rounds. because wlads jab is to great to overcome for holyfield, to fast to powerfull, and if he can overcome it wlad will clinch...

Of course they wouldn't dominate as they do now. You are clearly looking for an excuse to bash Klitschko fans here, who always seem to rise to the bait

Its hard to say how they'd do, and I'm biased anyway- but I think the 90s was overall the best era for heavyweight boxing in terms of quality fighters. In fairness in the 70s everyone fought eachother, but I think the elite fighters of the 90s were on the same level as the elite 70s fighters, but the contenders were a lot better in the 90s. You could even lump Vitali Klitschko in with the 90s fighters, since he won his first title in 1999 :good
