Lets face it that Foreman was beatable to fighters who knew the formula, one would be to attack Big George in a defensive matter (Lyle style but faster and better defense) the other would be defensive (Ali & Young) and let Big George (BIG CADILLAC) run out of gas

    Could Vitali accomplish this?

    Could Vlad do it?

I think either have a decent chance.

Vitali has the chin and awkward punching to make it intereresting-

Wlad has the jab and distance management to make it his boring fight...

I'm no big fan of the Klits but it is conceivable if they managed to weather the first 4 or 5 rounds storm.
Personally I think he'd frighten the life out of Wlad and take him out fairly early. Vitali as we know from the Lewis fight can go in the trenches, and it is conceivable we could have a slugfest of the type Foreman had with Lyle, but in that kind of fight involving the 1974 version of Foreman I'd go with big George.

Nah, I think Big George kicks the **** out of both of them, to be honest. No way will Wlad and his 'distance management' be able to contain an animal like that.

Vitali could hang in there but if it becomes a brawl, I'd favour George.

Agree with this, even though Wlad is obviously a better fighter than his brother, Big George is a nightmare matchup for him.

The Lewis fight showed than Lennox out of shape, past prime and undertrained managed to take Vitali into the trenches and drown him, a peak Foreman would finish the job earlier. Vitali would stick around longer than Wlad however.

Interesting one. I've a feeling that George stops them both. To beat Foreman, you have to either outpunch him, which I can't see Vitali or Wladimir doing or outboxing him and standing up to his best shots. I can't see either man doing that over a long period either.

I think a lot of the smarter slicker guys could have beaten him and the Lyle fight shows that a better more accurate puncher could have finished him.

Its not an easy task however, you would need a guy with a lack of fear and the ability to take a punch or avoid the wild swings...the young Foreman had stamina issues and was pretty amateurish, I do think Quarry may have had the formula in Big G's era, maybe Ellis but George was carefully matched

I don't think the Wladimir could deal with that version. I don't think Wladimir can clinch and contain him effectively. He boxes on the front foot. As simple as it sounds, I think he gets run over.

Vitali might just time and confuse him, while absorbing the occassional bomb. If Vitali gets past the seventh he is a definitive favorite.

Put a gun to my head, though, and I'd bet my life that Foreman walks over him as well.

Young Foreman had like 50 fights and got tired in 2. What Stamina issues? You mean when Ali was pulling on his neck and head in 120 degree weather?

And the other stamina issue was the Peralta fight (Foreman's 1st time going 10 rounds)

    He had decent enough stamina

Foreman was a killer...a true killer in the ring. He walked from his corner with the intent and the equipment to literally destroy his opponent. His intensity, killer instinct, physical presence, durability, will to win, ability to cut the ring to corner an opponent trying to survive and the shear power of his punches...which were the most powerful this man ever saw in my lifetime would make him a favorite over most any other hwt champion. Only Ali and only Ali since we saw him beat George would be favored over prime Foreman. Neither brother sees the third round again him.

Silly. George would walk through both men. Both would be fighting off their heels as George would quickly press the attack. Once they, especially the glass chinned Wlad feels Foremans power...it's over. It took Ali in one of boxing history greatest performances to beat prime Foreman. Young fought a Foreman fighting a different style than pre Ali George. Young had the defense to give any puncher a problem. The KD in round 12 was a flash KD when Young caught George off balance. We are talking prime Foreman..the night he fought Ali or Norton. He was a killer with great will to win.
