In all honesty i think Rocky would have mauled Floyd,i think the chin factor would have come into play and the power factor really would have shown in Rockys favor as well. While it would have been good for about 7 or 8 rounds because of Floyds speed i think Rockys relentlessness, pressure, and power would have slowed Floyd down and made him able to be taken out after mid fight.
Why thank you ,young man I'm touched, you did not menton the content ,presumably that was less than overwhelming.Still one out of two ain't bad! :good
A chinny guy against one of the most durable, power punching HWs who doesn't get tired. Sure, keep dreaming.
The reality is that Marciano would have had at lest two more fights before Patterson and who knows what would have happened in them?
Valdez lost his first chance against MOORE, then lost badly to Bob Satterfield....If it had been Vladez, I dont think he would have gone 9 rds, if it was Jackson , Rocky would have finished him early...other than that there was not really anybody in the horizon ...on top of the training regimen, Marciano was tired of getting robbed by Al Weil, Patterson had just lost to Joey Maxim and watching that fight, he did lose to Joey...Cus was not going to bring him to Heavy while Rocco ruled the roost...so it was not like there was pay -per view and he could fight a Lorenzo Zannon or Alfred Evangelista, Ruddi Lubbers type of opponent, there was no money...but I dont think there was anyone to offer a threat or make an exciting fight
The most likley candidate for fight No50 would be Huricane Jackson or Willie Pastrano. Just possibly it could have been Bob Baker or Nino Valdez. Whatever the case I dont think he meets Patterson untill fight 52 at the earliest.
