Looking at how open Ortiz was vs Wilder wouldn`t a tight defense and great glove control shown by Ali have worked vs Wilder also the rear jabs he landed v Foreman are a great way of cutting distance Ortiz could of landed a lot of those instead of his telegraphed straight lefts, what do you think?

Wilder beats Ortiz and now he's gonna compete with Ali

Ali would have shown him da yulaverse alright :deal:

Ali would love this fight IMO if he'd have being in there against Wilder. Would have been shades of the rumble.
Muhammad picking him off ,firing shots straight through ,then laying back and covering up .A tired , demoralised Wilder is dropped three times in the tenth .
But maybe Ortiz could have been more successful if he'd tried it !

Nah, countering would, but with his reach, other than for Fury, it couldn't be off the back foot.

There'd be no hope for Ali...this Man Monster Wilder would blast him into Bolivian....and shake up his kin folk in Africa at the same time.

That was my logic when I wrote the thread, Ortiz didn`t even have a plan.

Ali`s chin was better than any chin Wilder has punched thus far, he took Shavers punches and Foremans!

Ali would clown Wilder for 12 rounds just by sticking and moving. No need for the rope a dope.

Ali would do for 12-15 rounds what Ortiz did for 4. Probably stops him along the way.....

This. I think Wilder is the best current heavyweight, but Ali is on another level. Wilder's bread and butter is his right hand and stamina. Very few top heavyweights have good stamina and Wilder knows that any of the current top heavyweights will gas within 6-9 rounds and that when they do he can knock them out.

Ali wouldn't gas out against Wilder and has quicker hands and feet and would counter Wilder at will.
