the shot 38yro roberto duran who fought divisions outside his natural weight class and beat a younger heavy handed iran barkley how sucessful would he have been against kelly pavlik duran ate every single right hand and left hook barkley threw he even had barkley floored and dazed , barkley has a bigger 1 punch KO power then pavlik, based off of all of this how would u see the end result between a fighter of pavliks calibre against an aged and faded 38yo warrior in roberto who went on to beat barkley?
kelly is better than barkley IMO. he would have been able to use his jab to keep duran honest and piled up points. kelly`s fundamentals are better than barkelys fundamenls. duran was nothing special at all as a middleweight, experienced/smart fought within himself i would use the anology that duran at middle is about the same as toney at heavy.
That was a superb fight and I loved seeing Duran win his fourth title but the scoring was shocking. If the same people scored the proposed fight with Pavlik, you'd back Duran every time!
I think Duran would win via UD. Too slick and Duran could take those punches and probably outlast him. This guy took the best of Hagler.

I think Roberto Duran definitely could have outboxed Pavlik that night. He was sharp and on his game when he knocked Barkley down on his way to a decision victory.
