David Jaco, the legendary fighter who lost half of his 50 fights. Come on you're too easy....

Charles Martin is either a complete bum or he was paid to lose.
I found last weekend's fight really disappointing. I was hoping Martin would be quite good, despite his record and the way he had looked previous. But, even if he turned out to be outclassed, I at least expected him to make some sort of reasonable effort.
    Martin is the worst.
I wouldn't be surprised if he never fights again. He got his payday.

I'm surprised how people seem to be so entertained by such dreadful fake fights.

Even before the fight, people were claiming Martin as by far the worst title holder of all time.

Lucas (Big Pile Of ****) Brown has better credentials than Martin, thats how bad Martin is/was.

Paid to lose? You serious? He either messed up the count or found a way out. Everyone makes an effort till they get hit on the chin.

I'm not saying he was. But I offered two explanations. Either a complete bum OR paid to lose.

Before the fight I was arguing that there was no evidence that Martin was "cashing himself in". But, on viewing the fight, it looks like perhaps he did.

All half-decent professional fighters tend to make an effort after they get hit on the chin too. If they have their wits about them. That's what makes them fighters, and professionals. They don't sit out a fight so easily.
I'm not sure we saw Martin make an effort before or after he got hit on the chin.
His "effort" was marginally more worthy than Bruce Seldon's. At least he took a couple of punches.
But then at least Seldon made an effort to appear hurt.

Martin went out like a bum.

In Seldons defence, he did throw a lot of jabs at Tyson to ward him off and then threw a couple of right hands before he clinched.

He also did make some effort vs Bowe.

    Martin made NO effort

Like I said, he messed the count up intentionally or he didn't have the wits on him to get up in time. He got hit with 2 big shots and did well to get up from them, lots of fighters would have been put to sleep by those shots or put on ***** Street.
