Tyson is a myth. An over-rated bum. The words in his prime can easily be translated to before he fought anyone decent & started to get knocked the **** out. Neither brother would have any problem wearing him down and winning easily.
Tyson's intensity even at that time, very near his downfall as a former undisputed Hw Champion who was about to make a tremendous comeback with two 1st round kayos against Henry Tillman and Alex Steward and then it would be Evander Holyfield for the first 100 million dollar fight in March 92 and the undisputed Hw title that Holyfield would lose in Nov 92 to Riddick Bowe, met the most dangerous one punch knockout artist since then up to these days in Ruddock. Ruddock fought toe to toe with power and intensity till R Steele called a hault in the 7th and then it was another slugfest with Ruddock surviving moster punches and coming back from knockdowns smiling and with a broken jaw. Both Klitschkos would never make it even tho his fans may have an argument when L Lewis stopped Ruddock in two and an old version of Lewis fought a hard fight with Vitali.
Tyson is vulnerable to Vitali's best shots: jab and overhand right. If they ever met it would look like this: [yt]P1L7N3b1xoU[/yt]
Wlad would be lucky to last 4 rounds, first hard puch Tyson lands and he's gone, you cant have a glass chin against Iron Mike,Vitali would be tougher but is far too slow and robotic to beat that version of Tyson,Tyson on points or late stoppage..
I think Vitali would be a tough on for Tyson. Tyson was a KO artist, but ask yourselves, how would some of his competitin do today? Not that tyson didn't have good fights don't get me wrong. But, he also had some questionable opponents.
Any version of Tyson would have lost to either of the Klitschko brothers. The Klitschkos are to big and strong. Tyson would have done what he normally does when losing, which is quit before a legit KO happens. Either Klitschko wins within 5 rounds
I think the people who say either Klits brother would easily beat Tyson, are underrating Tyson, and those who say Tyson would easily KO either Klitchko may be undderating the Klits. I do think Tyson probably beats both of them, but he would have to dig deep to do it. I think both fights would be an ugly affair with some rough tactics, but I think Tyson would land enough bombs on them to ESPECIALLY TO THE BODY where nobody ever seems to test the Klitchkos to ear a stoppage over Vitali and a close UD over Wlad. And no i dont have the brothers mixed up.
No, you see that's stupid. Tyson's entire style is built from the ground up to avoid straight punches, that's why he moved his head from side to side the way he did (granted at the time of the Ruddock fights the head movement was all but gone). Tyson is 'vulnerable' (so called) to uppercuts and hooks-where a taller fighter has to be willing to bend his knees and fire. Vitali doesn't do that, it's not in his punching lexicon.
You can not compare Ruddock To Klitschkos, they are totally different class of fighters. Ruddock was very vulnerable Tyson attacks, because he punch mostly hooks and Gave off his bigger size and reach advantage. Altought, This Vitali vs. "night train" was prime. His movement, speed etc..were still good
