The only comparison I was making with Ruddock and the Klits were that he was taller and heavier than Tyson although not as tall nor as heavy as the Klits. That being said, IMO, Ruddock was more fluid in the ring with his feet and his punches than either Klits. He also had faster hands, IMO. Vitali from what I have seen likes to come forward in a careful manner with a poking jab and then a right cross. He doesn't have a lot of head movement and he is almost stiff legged inside the squared circle. His size actually might have worked against him against Tyson who was an exceptional inside fighter for a heavyweight. Could Vitali have taken those bodyshots that Ruddock did? Those were some very devastating shots. I think Tyson would have had more trouble with Vitali than with Wladimir, whose shaky chin would have been big trouble against the power punching Tyson. Don't get me wrong, the Klits are the best heavyweights of the last 5-10 years, and have been pretty much dominant against all comers or at least Vitali has. Wladimir has had more trouble, but he still has held his own.
The Tyson of the Ruddock fights would be made for either brother unforunately. At this stage of his career, he quit doing the things that would have helped him solve their proficient long range boxing. He has a puncher's chance but woud likely be controlled and take an ugly beating in decision loses. Sorry. No head movement, one punch head hunting, and of course vunerable to the clinch. Loading up with uppercuts and forgetting to jab, Ruddock couldn't take advantage of these short comings. Wlad would jab and hold Iron Mike to death, and Vitali would find him all night with 1-2s. Mike wasn't very sharp against Ruddock, outside of his ability to take punishment and win a long hard fight, I have no idea why those performances have become so mythic. Tyson fought dumb and executed poorly against a limited opponent. Man Wlad has no chance vs Tyson, none at all. Vitali I will hear you out, although I think Tyson beats him, but Wlad has no chance with that glass baby and panick attacks he has, none.
HE WOULD KNOCK BOTH OF THEM OUT/TYSON WAS A BADAASSS............................I SPOKE TO TERRY NORRIS ABOUT THIS AND HE SAID KLIT BROS WOULD GET THIER ASSES SPANKED:smoke
stopped reading this bull**** after the first paragraph an essay is what it will take to convince anyone with acumen regarding the history of boxing, that any klitschko would beat tyson. i dont think the ruddock tyson was the same man from 1986 to 1989, purely because of self abuse, but he still kicks the **** out of Wlad, and UD's vitali.
Tyson was a mental midget. Every time he met any kind of resistance he self-destructed. Vitali would give him a beating of his life.
Ruddock was trying to fight Tyson on the inside. This should put to rest the discussion about his boxing smarts.
Tyson stops Wlad, he takes Vitali to hell. The best of Tyson and the best from Vitali I'd say Tyson by a close margin.
I am a big Wlad fan, but i agree tyson would knock him out. I think Vitali would beat tyosn. people saying tyson would UD vitali? really? vitali has lost very few rds as a pro, you just arent going to beat him on the cards. Vitali UD or TKO late tyson Tyson KO wlad rd 2
the 88 Tyson was betetr than the 91 Tyson who beat Ruddock.. How can you compare Ruddock to the klit Bros?? that would be like comparing Eva Longoria to Susan Boyle, Ruddock was never that good... Tyson of 88 against Wlad of today would be a 50-50 fight, if the fight went more than 6 rounds Tyson would lose he never had good stamina.. Vitali has a chin of iron he would take those shots and keep coming, Tyson was never good against tall fighters VK would win a decision...
