Would the winner of AJ v Fury win BBC sports personality of the year?

    Fury was right to try and pull out of the race for sports personality of the year as he didn`t even come third just like AJ after he beat Wlad, will a boxer ever win that award again? Is PPV the reason boxers don`t ever win this award anymore, would the winner of AJ v Fury have a chance of winning the award?

    Unless boxing moves from PPV to cable, boxing won't be mainstream again in the west, bar very few fights, not enough to establish somebody as the favorite athlete.
