Would the winner of Froch/Pascal have a chance against Jermain Taylor?

Recently, Jermain Taylor defeated his former 2000 US Olympian teammate Jeff Lacy in a WBC Super Middleweight Title Eliminator to become the #1 contender and mandatory challenger to the winner of the vacant WBC Super Middleweight Title. In this fight, Carl Froch will take on Jean Pascal in a matchup of unbeaten. I have not seen much of either fighter so I was wondering if anyone can give a breakdown of each fighter.

In addition, we can look at a potential fight in which the new champion has to face Taylor in early 2009. What would the fight look like and would Taylor emerge once again as world champion against either Pascal or Froch?

    Everyone's thoughts on this one...

They would have a chance, but both would be fighting an uphill battle. Taylor has been in deep water with some great fighters.

Taylor's speed and accuracy are a problem for both guys given they both hold their hands quite low at times. Pascal's chin looked soft in his last fight; he might end up being Taylor's first KO in four years.

Taylor's stamina and killer instinct are still question marks though that could be exploited, especially by a big puncher like Froch.

of course they would have a chance. It would be a decent one, but you can't place either as the fave imo

I think Froch would have a good chance if he's as good as his fans make him out to be: very solid and strong, very hard chinned, very hard puncher, very aggressive, very good stamina.

Of course, such a fighter would beat almost everyone at 168-175, if not, indeed, everyone. Would certainly KO Pascal by half-time...
