Would the winner of Pac/Martinez get any credit at all?

Lets say it happens at 154 lbs.
Martinez wins and its cause Pac is too small.
Pacquiao wins and its because Martinez is drained.
    Why even bother?

If it happened at 155, you'd have to have an agenda not to give Pacquiao a huge amount of credit. Sergio had to drop a surprising amount of weight in the build up to Williams but he only recently moved to 160 and I don't think we can presume he'd be too badly effected by making 155.

Martinez would receive much less credit for beating Pac because of the size disparity but he'd still have beaten a legendary fighter who has made size seem unimportant.

utter bull****. pac is a 154 champ. martinez WAS the 154 champ just last year. he weighed 156 just two days before weigh in after having his meals for the day.

anyone with the viewpoint expressed by the ts is a knob head.

Why are your words all the way on the right side of the box, Boom? But, yeah, I agree 100%. Anyway, even Martinez himself acknowledged that he doesn't wanna fight Pacquiao due to his much smaller size.

martinez wins he is p4p #1 which is his goal. pac wins and he is top 10 or even 5 p4p ever

even though pac makes weight classes look silly...

there's a reason why weight classes are made. After pac breaking margo's orbital bone with 8 ounce gloves, there would HAVE to be some issue by martinez with the gloves.

This fight is going to be a blood bath and Pac is going to be on the receiving end for once in his career.

I'm glad Martinez is a class guy. He doesn't care about p4p rankings and he doesn't need to justify his status by picking on a smaller guy.

Can we stop with this Pacquiao/Martinez talk? Martinez is a guy who probabily walks around near 180lbs and would be comfortable fighting guys like Bute and the rest of those super middleweights. Pacquiao has maxed out. I wouldn't hold it against Pacquiao and Mayweather if they decided to not take Martinez and i don't expect them to.

who cares? it would be fun to watch wich should be the #1 priority and it would answer the question about pac's limits and is the #1 vs #3 p4p fighters so its all good

I actually think Martinez would gain more respect from beating PBF since he is bigger. There isnt that much of a size difference between those 2. I think 2 inches in height and weight wouldnt be much since PBF has already fought at 154 and that was before his frame grew like it has recently.

  12. Pac tested the waters, took some serious punishment from a middleweight, and survived crushing uppercuts and TWO Cintron-destroying liver shots. If he's discovered his limits, nothing wrong with that.

But he's still a ****ing warrior for even saying he'd fight Martinez, but at a catchweight.

Martinez could make 154 and not be drained, but I don't think Pac can beat him at that weight.

As for Martinez saying he won't go below 156, that could easily just be a negotiating stance, hoping that the Pac camp would agree to 154.
