Marquez wants to fight a lefty. Zab has a name and is coming off a good performance albeit against a D level prospect. Whoever wins would have the inline track on a Pac fight in the fall.
Call me crazy, but, Judah would have an easier time with JMM than he would with most of the other top 140-147 fighters (Khan, Peterson, Bradley, Ortiz). Not suggesting he would win, but there's a good chance he wouldn't get that badly beaten up or anything. JMM, with his counterpunching style, wouldn't give him that much of a horrid experience.
There'd be a big demand for it. There was rumors of it last summer and people loved the idea. Only people may be tired of Judah now
