Yes. It would go a long way, I think. And he could have definitely avenged the other two, if given the chance. It would've been worth it to him to make a point of doing so, and I'm sure Sanders or Purritty would've jumped at the money.

No, look at Vitali - his losses have come from legitimate injuries and yet he still gets the same amount of **** as Wlad, despite a more wild fan friendly style.

They're not Americans and they'd beat any American fighter, of all time.

    That's why they're not liked.

If that were true, why do boxers like Pac, Cotto, and JMM get respect from US fans? Americans even came round to Lewis in the end. The Klitschko's, and Wlad in particular, are too cautious and calculated in style. It puts fans off.

Because they fight predominately in America and have American promoters who mass market them to the public?

Lewis was only respected after he retired, never during his career.

The brothers avenged them all besides the 1 who would not grant the opportunity...Lewis.

Wlad revenged Vitali's loss to Byrd twice. Vitali revenged Wlad's losses to Purity and Sanders. K2 not K1.

IMO the best way for Wlad and Vitali to get more respect would have been to manage their division better. Instead of busting up all kinds of contender fights to fight guys who had done nothing, they needed to put contender fights at HW on their undercards every time out. Every K2 card should have been stacked like Vitali's comeback against Sam Peter. Their current strings of challengers could have all been of a higher calibre and more deserving if they had not mismanaged the division.

Wladimir and Vitali kind of suffer from the fact that they're both so dominant and cannot face one another. They've made the division non competitive at the top echelon because no one has really had a chance against either guy since they entered their respective primes.

The division cannot be competitive when you have two fighters who destroy undefeated/winning streak fighters - between the both of them, they're fighting 4-6 contenders a year.

You take these guys out of the division and you have a highly competitive division with an array of fight styles where no 1 guy would be favoured to beat every single guy in the division (in my view).

The division doesn't have bad boxers, guys like Chambers, Arreola, Povetkin, Chagaev would be Top 10 fighters in any generation at their peak in my view, it's more so that the division has two dominant champions who cannot fight each other that make people think it's a bad division.

Personally watching Wlad destroy every single guy with ease since his last loss to Brewster has been incredible to me, considering the guys he's beaten are generally either undefeated or coming off big win streaks.

He also offered Purrity more than he was worth for a rematch. According to KO magazine....

I'm American. I like Vitali. Respect Wlad, but honestly, someone posted a video of Tyson - Ruddock the other day. Action fight, compare that to Wlad - Haye. His fights just aren't that easy to watch. I think that is why he is largely ignored. Vitali's fights are much better to watch. Doesn't mean they both aren't great fighters. Personally, I rate Vitali higher on intangibles.

IDK.......I don't think Wlad could beat Sanders too soon after that devastating loss. He was truly gunshy for several fights afterwards, and by the time he had his head on straight Sanders was a non factor.

Purrity......yeah, he should have IMMEDIATELY rematched him. That L still stands out as his worst IMO, and shoulda been avenged, especially at that early stage of his career.

We all seen how he murdered Brewster, so I feel safe in saying that he coulda done the same to Purrity, and mighta been able to stave of Sanders for a decision win had Sanders been a factor 3 years later.

If Tyson tried to burrow in on Wlad or Vitali like he did Ruddock, he'd get knocked out early. Fact.
