Stanley Ketchel (MW) Billy Papke (MW) Bob Fitzsimmons (MW) Henry Armstrong (FW) Tony Canzoneri (LW) Benny Leonard (LW) Sugar Ray Robinson (WW) Kid Gavilan (WW) I have my own personal opinion but I want to see what some of the forum think considering a common opinion is that boxing has evolved too much for older fighters to be competitive today.
Some of those are easier to call than others. Basically everybody outside of the middleweight division would probably get to the top, by hook or crook. In the middleweight division you have a bit of a palaeontology exercise going on!
Don't know enough about Fitz or Ketchel, but the other 5, if we could time warp those fighters to this era. They would probably to a man be undefeated until they fought each other. Yes this era is that bad.
Leonard would be king at Lw, SRR would rule WW, Armstrong would have his hands full with Loma but i think he has the style and ability to beat him and be FW king. Havent seen enough of the MWs you posted but Fitzsimmons won the HW title so he must have been grea.
Robinson would be king of the welters with no Robinson, Gavilan would be terrorising the welterweights Armstrong would have a great fight with Loma but his non stop pressure head in your chest style would give Loma nightmares benny Leonard was ahead of his time great mover excellent at reading punches and catching, parrying I think he really think he climbs his way to the top
You sent up the bat signal, what's up? Ah, You seek my expertise once again, I did impress you with the Marciano thing! Unfortunately, I cannot help with this one as I am unfamiliar with the majority of your list as far as watching tape goes. If you want to talk about how massive and muscular Anthony Joshua is I will make myself available for you.
