If the Great Joe Louis were fighting in today's Boxing climate this I fully believe would most likely be the reaction to him by the fans and the media, which is both sad yet could possibly be appropriate. This is my hypothesis of what would happen.

    Joe Louis 66-3 52 KO's 2 KO Losses.

The Brown Bomber's First 19 Victories.
Ol' Joe has fought nothing but bums, I think he just might be a hypejob. He needs to step up I think he's being protected by his crooked promoter, they know he's gonna get his china chin cracked and his skills aren't that great he'll be exposed the moment he steps up.

Good Lord...He barely beat Jack Kranz on points he got exposed big time. And then Wilson Dunn of all people KO'd Kranz in 3, and Louis couldn't LOL.

He went the distance with Adolf Wiater, but he couln''t knock him out, okay maybe he's hard to KO but Louis doesn't deserve any credit for Wiater, he already lost on points to a loser like Ernie Evans, I don't care if it was close he lost to Evans that's what the judges said.

Even though he dropped Patsy Perroni 4 times he couldn't get the job done, and doesn't deserve any credit for a bum with 5 losses anyway. Then a few fights later Patsy quit on his stool because he had a broken jaw that he got from Bob Olin, he has no heart what a quitter.

He couldn't KO Natie Brown the first time, it took him 2 tries to get the job done, which really makes me question his power since Brown had already been stopped twice by worthless bums. And I think the ref made the wrong call in the second, Natie got off the canvass and still wanted to fight, British stoppage, British stoppage.

The Prime and Fall Of Joe Louis
So what he KO'd Primo Carnera everybody knows Italians are Euro-Level glass jawed bums and all he was doing was getting Max Baer's leftovers. Max dropped Primo like 20 times didn't he, Joe shouldn't get a damn bit of credit for that.

As far as Max Baer goes, I don't care if Max did kill somebody in the ring, so what he got his ass handed to him by James Braddock:rofl who has 23 losses and he went 15 rounds with him, Max should have known better than to fight Joe 3 months after that match, he wasn't fully recovered, so Joe doesn't deserve any credit for that win.

Oh s*** Joe just got EXPOSED by a Eurobum:rofl Max Schmelling who got KO1 by Gispy Daniels WTF, Max Diekman in 4 Who? and Larry Gains TKO'd him in 4 Who? and Max Baer KO'd him in 4. But Louis couldn't hurt him but he dropped Joe twice and KO'd him in 11, that's it Joe's a bum I knew it.

That's it Joe is shot, even though he stopped James Braddock in 8, Braddock still dropped him, and Joe couldn't stop the Cinderella Man quicker than Lou Scozza of all people and everybody knows the Baer match ruined Braddock. Joe has a glass jaw its a irrefutable FACT.:deal

Tony Galento almost KO'd him in the first round and dropped him later, I don't care if Joe got the KO his Glass Jaw came popping out again.:!:

Yo Godoy got robbed, the judge's got paid off hahahaha Joe got Exposed again this time by some bum from Chile, Joe's lost it.

Buddy Baer of all people dropped him Glass Jaw:deal:-(

Jersey Joe Walcott who got KO'd by 2 different losers named Tiger:rofl got robbed that was no SD Walcott deserved the win. Walcott has lost on points 9 times and Joe couldn't beat him cleanly.

Ezzard Charles with 5 losses:-( just shutout the great Joe Louis when are you guys finally gonna admit your boy's a loser. He should just retire he's embarrassing himself.

Rocky Marciano some Italian loser just KO8 Louis its over what a worthless hypejob 3 losses now, I always knew what a fragile Mandible he had, good riddance what a joke, his whole career was a mirage.

I can't believe I ever thought he was any good.

Pretty much. But I'm sure there were people saying similar stuff back in the 30s and 40s.

I don't think all the talk by the fanboys and detractors of certain fighters is a bad thing. It's part of the excitement of boxing. Everyone's got an opinion. Everyone knows more **** about boxing than the next guy. Everyone knows how the fight is going to go. Then finally it's fight night. The bell rings, the fighters square off, and all the talk goes out the window. All that remains is the cold truth. The better man will emerge victorious.

Then the next day everyone backtracks and talks **** and then it all starts over again for next weeks fight. That's just the nature of the sport.

Little Tommy Farr held him to a decision? An even smaller Billy Conn was ahead on points and was only stopped by a lucky punch after tripping over his feet when he was about to knock Joe out!?

    Whatta bum!!!

How do you think Wlad would fair against the likes of Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson, Lewis, Holmes, Foreman, and Ali?

Tyson 5-10 71in reach Wlad 6'6 81in reach I highly doubt Mike could get past his jab, it would look like the Povetkin match.

If Louis were fighting today he would clean up the division once again and the dame old detractors would be crying about his new "bum of the month club". Louis was the most complete heavyweight in history and its best puncher.

He'd never live down that first Schmelling beating.

On one hand I hate how overly critical everyone today is, but conversely all the ATGs get a complete pass for all their lowlights.

That's exactly the response I was going for with this. People now days are far too critical and unforgiving of a fighters foibles, ad many fighters today are put out to pasture far too quickly without being given a chance to redeem themselves of their losses, but at the same time the Legends were far from unbeatable monsters that they've been built up to be.
