    Don't be an idiot.

If thats true then Sam Peter was stonger than Tyson as he easily flung Wlad off him while Povetkin could not.

Tyson repeatedly drove the strong as an Ox Smith to the ropes. There is nothing to suggest Povetkin was stronger than Mike.

Which Povetkin fight do you think illustrates this final claim? I'm not seeing it - at all.

I can envision Tyson easily bullying Povetkin in clinches, although I suspect he wouldn't be in too many.

He didn't ask for this. No more than he asked to be King...

I'm judging mostly by Chagaev, Klitschko and Perez, and he appears to be getting even stronger.

Tyson's inside game would be superior to Pov's but I don't see Mike out-muscling him.

I see him ending Wilder's run.

    If they actually meet.

So, the question is who would win in a fight between Stannis Baratheon and Joe Louis? And does Stannis get to use Lightbringer?

Ah, but then that opens the door to this question...

    Is Stannis' Lightbringer THE Lightbringer???

Oh yeah. The realm needs him.

He's the greatest military commander (going to need that).

He's the only King who responded to the Wall's request for help (his "cart before the horse" speech shows his wholesomely good intent up North).

He's the only King that would be able and willing to naturalize Jon Snow as Jon Stark (as he previously offered and Jon's pride got in the way, as pride always does for the Starks; plus Jon will clearly be revived by The Red Woman).

My prediction would be that Stannis leads the Wildling army alongside resurrected Snow/Stark, who both respect each other greatly, to take back the wall and when Snow/Stark realizes his need to be elsewhere, Stannis will be named Captain of the Knights' Watch in a sort of necessary honorary punishment.

hes really not. he thought killing his daughter (tv stannis, that is, not book(yet, anyway)) wouldnt affect army morale.

    Dipstick of the highest order.

Basically hes just a guy who is massively stubborn and never backs down, which is why he sometimes prevails in difficult odds. He chooses to do "good for the realm" simply because he believes its the right thing to do and makes him a true king, with little appraisal of the situation.

Jon was the best leader, although way too trusting (in the tv show, anyway, hes was more wary in the book) as all the Starks are. H etends to appraise situations more, though hes not immune to being rash either.

He squashed the Greyjoy Rebellion! Defeated the greatest navy with less ships on their own home turf (Iron Islands) in what was a suicide mission given from his brother.

He stood up to the siege of Storm's End by the Tyrells for a whole year! That actually kept the Tyrells, the largest army at the time, out of the way of Robert and Ned so they could capture Kings Landing (probably wouldn't have happened otherwise).

He defeated Mance Raders' army of 100,000 Wildlings! The show makes it seem like a surrender but in the books he defeats them despite being outnumbered 20 to 1.

...I know exactly what you're saying and you are right. But he really IS the best military commander in Westeros. Despite being outnumbered (as always) and facing an era equivalent of a nuclear bomb in the Battle of Blackwater, he was still going to capture Kings Landing if not for the arrival of the Tyrell's (always persuaded to fight for the current King) massive army. You've also got to

Lord Tywin even says, "From the start I have feared Stannis more than all the other kings combined." Cersei and Tyrion also echo that statement.

I can definitely see him ending Wilder's run (although on your last side note, I don't think that fight is likely to happen any time soon).

But I'm not sure if I agree that Povetkin is stronger than Tyson. I'm inclined to believe otherwise, as I think Tyson's physical strength was a big part of what made him such an explosive inside fighter. Tyson was very good at using the strength he did have on the inside, using his body to maneuver guys into positions where he would fire off uppercuts and hooks - he was good at creating and exploiting small openings.

So even if you are correct and he is physically stronger (which I'm again inclined to disagree with), I don't personally believe that Povetkin knows how to utilize that strength and use it to his advantage in the same way.
