did amazing feats and also wrestled

as you can see from the video
he was not really super bulky
    and over sized

fighting is a whole different thing. The guy is strong, I will give him that, but that was his job. boxing profesionaly is another job.

This. Just because he's strong and he can take a brilliant punch doesn't mean that he could succeed at boxing. Boxing is a completely different sport.

yes ofcourse boxing is a different sport for sure

that's why i asked yes or no

ofcourse he was tough and strong
but boxing and fighting in general is a different animal

the reason i think from the strongman he is best suited to boxing
is because he does not seem to have much extra muscle weight

and seems like he could be mobile

doesnt seem to mind takeing shots too hehehe

Why would you think Zass would be a great boxer, h?

Over the years, countless men titled STRONGEST MAN IN THE WORLD have tried boxing 'n flopped miserably. Either they couldn't punch, had glass chins, or both.

Tex Cobb could probably do some of these same things, and we saw what happened against Holmes.

Performing feats of strength does not equate to ability to be a good boxer. Who knows? Maybe he could, maybe he couldnt, but 1 things certain and that is this is no way to judge his potential ability

As a strongman he would probably have terrible stamina.

I read the story. I have respect for what he could do, I doubt any boxer could do what he did, but likewise it works the other way also. I doubt he could fight without training as a fighter. Each jack to his trade.

I imagine a strong man can brace himself for a body punch he is ready for but in a fight situation he could get hit on the chin waiting for that body shot.

If he trained as a fighter for a long time and applied himself exclusively in boxing he would lose whatever he had as a strongman.

A lot of strong guys take up boxing and thats fine. they are not naturally supple enough and it is never an advantage at even novice level since they are too locked up and tight. They can only throw what my trainer used to call a "body builders punch" a short square on hook with both heels on the floor but no hip pivot on it. By the time it takes them to loosen up after years of being all tensed up the snotty nosed “average Joe” who started the same day as “strong boy” is hooking off the jab and got his footwork down!

    very good analysis
and i will add that he probably would not be able to take those bodyshots in a real fight when he does not know what is coming and when

but what i disagree is that i doubt he would lose all his strongman stuff if he became a boxer,

    about the average joe,

for one he does not look like a normal super stiff bodybuilder, so who knows if he would even have those werid tight push punches that some bodybuilders do

secound your point about average, yes he might be better at ad******g
    to moving around
but if you teach zass how to cut the ring off and get the average joe against the ropes,
i can see some brutality happening lol
