Drop the Super Heavyweight because it would only have like 10 decent to good guys in a 265 division, and about a 100 to 150 overweight journeymen. For the rest it would be much better as today's divisions.
Still 14 weight classes. A good idea would be something like: 112 118 126 135 147 160 175 190 220 220+ The filler divisions have to go. Throughout history, they have been relatively weak and mere stepping stones. The problems is at LHW. While 175 to 200 is not quite as massive as people would make it out to be, it's still a big jump. And the guys who can't quite make 200 are just stuck in a division they dont quite belong in. It's BS that these 250lb guys can compete with men much smaller.

MMA is about to dilute it's talent pool. They should have learned from boxing. There is no need to separate talent just because some guys can get a shot at winning a belt. Let's look at Ring Magazines top P4P Golovkin - Career 160 Lomachenko - Jumped from 126 - 135. Seems like a small 135 but he can obviously compete there. Time will tell. Crawford - Easily jumped from 135 to 147. Usyk - Career 200, is looking to move up. Mikey Garcia - Easily jumped from 126 to 135. Inoue - Started at 108, skipped 112 and now has jumped from 115 to 118. So from 112 to 118 was an easy move for him. Sor Rungvisai - Career 115, is looking to move to 118. Nietes - Started at 108, now is campaigning at 115. Santa Cruz - Easily transitioned from 118 to 126. There is no need for these filler divisions. Especially at the lower weights!
But it's the chance for smaller guys that still have growing bodies to become a 5 weight champ. 105, 108, 112, 115, 118... 13lbs and 5 different divisions
No. This would destroy boxing. The Super heavy and Heavyweight division would have a bunch of fat slobs that nobody would pay to see. Also, cruiserweight is way too high. The traditional weight classes, which have an extensive history shouldn't be altered.
As once was suggested by @BlizzyBlizz 's mother...... "The size of the hands are everything". Scrap weights.
You honestly believe there is a need to dilute the talent pool just so some guys can win belts? Whats the point in having champions just to have champions?(besides the ABC's collecting fees)
Find it kinda funny that no one has ever done that jump successfully (only 2 fighters have gone 105-115, Roman Gonzalez and Leo Gamez). Maybe it actually is harder to do that jump than 126, 130, 135, 140 or 140, 147, 154, 160. I guess the smaller guys are naturally smaller than the guys at the upper range of the weights or burn out quicker and that 13lbs down there is lot more meaningful than at the higher weights.
I say cut it to one division, get rid of the ring, rules and just have Thunderdome. Two men enta`, one man leaves!
