Would today Wladimir Klitschko against Evander Holyfield be a good matchup?

No, it wouldn't be good at all. Very bad and quite depressing in fact.

Don´t you think Holy could still land the big shot?

It would be a horrific fight - and a fight I'd go out of my way NOT to see. It would be a long, cruel beating.

Possibly, but I think it's more likely he gets jabbed to death in a horrible and boring fight that would depress me.

Holyfield wasn't a big puncher to begin with (At HW) and now he has lost some of his speed and torque, so it really has to be that one in a million punch. I wouldn't watch, i gotta tell ya.

Look at this Video. Holyfield landed some great shots:

Wlad is so much better than Valuev that it is not worth the comparison. Klitschko would probably hand Holy the beating he seems to need to retire.

Holyfield still moves godd and still punches very exactly. He does not even look at Valuev and still hits him straight at the chin.

But he's also 0-3 in his last HW title fights, 46 years old and showing signs of degeneration (according to some). I think putting him in with the division's #1 and best puncher is not right.

They said the same about in before the first fight with Tyson. Holyfield might be old, but in my opinion he beat Valuev. So why shouldn´t he get his very last chance to fight for the title. He has the reach to do better then chaggy or iggy.

Well he's obviously much older and a lesser fighter now than he was then.

But he is also much smarter then he was ten years ago. He could also dance around wladimir and hit him with some hooks.

Wlad should jab poor old Holyfield to death.

Unfortunatley Evander seems to have become a bit of a sideshow.

Personally I only ever watch him fight now for the morbid fascination of seeing a once great fighter get his arse handed to him.

A prime Holyfield would have been beaten through the ring like a wet paper bag by Wlad. Unthinkable what Wlad would do to this grandpa version of Evander. Holyfield is an idiot for wasting all his money and still being forced to fight in the ring at his age.
