I strongly suspected he must have had some nickname for Tyson. How about Chuvalo? What did he call him?

    Yes I a absoluey100% sure.

Ali was referring to the way Louis slowly shuffled along after his opponents with a dour expression on his face. Finally when both appeared together in an interview Ali made the comparison. That's when Louis told him to stop. If I find that interview on youtube I will post it.

    BTW
One thing to keep in mind is that Louis and Ali had two entirely different ways of viewing things. Louis served gladly in the army. Ali refused. Ali called him an Uncle Tom actually which is worse than being humorously called a Mummy.

So he called both foreman and Louis the mummy lol. Think Ali had a name for every opponent at the sounds of it.

I was unaware that he called Foreman the Mummy as well. It's understandable since Foreman did resemble Louis in his slow, methodical, constantly-moving-forward footwork.

Now that's the most degrading of them all since it includes the "woman" part.

Yes, he refers to foreman a few times as the "" mummy "" in the build up to the rumble. And does a impression of George as he's doing it.

Say that to Tyson and he would have threatened to eat Ali's children and bit his nose during a rope-a-dope..

Well I'm a fan of Ali's, but he could be a little cruel with the names. I think the worst probably is frazier been called the "" gorrila "". Frazier and his family suffered a lot because of Ali S constant calling in the build up to manilla. Because it was Ali he kinda got away with it, tongue in cheek sort of thing. But not one of his greatest moments I feel.

The only opponent who I believe got the better of Ali in the name calling was bonavena. He just kept on talking away in his own language and sniffing the air near Ali, as though he stunk. Ali couldn't do anything with him.

Calling Joe an Uncle Tom in the buildup to the first fight in 1971 was a lot more hurtful to Frazier and his family and that was definitely not tongue in cheek.

Joe offered to help Ali when Ali was down and trying to come back after being banned from boxing for approx. three years. So Joe could never understand why Ali came at him in that manner after he had offered that assistance.

Was Bonavena that way with every opponent?
