Such crap. Coming from the streets during a time of social programs for the poor is very different from growing up at the turn of the 20th century where everyone indeed was on their own. Tyson was not tough....he was a punk. Punching an old lady does not prove toughness.

Just go away dude. Tyson did a lot worse than punch old ladies. At least Unforgiven brings some knowledge to the discussion.

You are the most lost poster I've ever encountered. Beating up old ladies, mugging innocent people does not prove toughness. It proves JUST THE OPPOSITE.

I think you might be projecting a bit there. You seem to get your panties in a bunch at my posts again. But I don't know. Only you know. I can only tell you what I always tell you: I'm just stating an opinion. Sometimes that means contradicting someone else's. That's life, and this forum would be really boring if all opinions were the same. It's nothing personal. Reading an opinion about Mike Tyson doesn't "bother" me. I enjoy these discussions about interesting fighters. It seems perhaps you're the one getting yourself all bothered about that damned unforgiven again. Again, Sangria ?

No, I don't think I know more than anyone else on the subject. You assume too much.

Yikes ! What's worse than punching old ladies ??

I bring some knowledge ? Like what ? You seem to **** on everything I post ! LOL

Well I'm assuming Big Head Mike has killed some people during his ascent to boxing royalty.

What bothers me is the know it alls and psychologist pretenders littered throughout thee world wide web. This forum was choice when I first joined. What happened to the elite posters? They didn't switch over to Check Hook because I've been there.

Yeah, I heard he killed Teddy Atlas back in 1984.

white boy fantasies. Keep 'em comin'.

Don't worry about it. There's more to life than wasting your years on boxing forums, chasing that old high.

How does beating up old ladies killing another human being prove toughness? It proves your a loser and a punk and nothing more.

Tyson was known to be mentally weak and Ali was known to be very strong mentally. Of course he wins.

You don't think Tyson murdered anyone, but you believe he knocked out old ladies? And why is that a white boy fantasy? That's...weird...

He was a little purse and bag snatcher. He was sent down for it.

What makes you think he was a killer ?

    Yeah, you said it.
It's a common phenomenon. Certain white boys, adolescents, most who never been near an inner city or a black neighbourhod in there lives, like to fantasise about lives of danger, violence and killing they imagine endured by young black men in ghettos. .... "I wonder how many people 2Pac killed ?"

I get it. Kinda like the liberals who've never set foot in a neighborhood of that magnitude and yet they'll defend a thug's actions because the cops and government have it out for black people. Gotcha!

Do you think Tyson was capable of murder? Certain forum psychologists claim he was mentally irregular and certainly capable of committing such atrocities.

    It's probably a related phenomenon.

I guess a lot of people are capable of doing so.
But I think it's unlikely that he did.
Tyson was, from most accounts, a small-time juvenile delinquent, a purse snatcher, big for his age and a bully of smaller kids. He was sent to a boys detention center and became a successful boxer.
His rap sheet as an adult is crimes against women, including ****, and beating a middle-age man in a road rage.

This probably isn't the career profile of an accomplished criminal killer.

Show me a study that shows he wouldn't have won the title if affected a short time later by early life heroin abuse. Just because there's no large scale study yet doesn't mean it's not possible. There has been minor studies that hinted at such, brain wise.
