Picking Tyson to beat Ali is silly.
Ali has all the meaningful advantages, including a much better track record for winning potentially difficult fights.

Tyson had one style, he had short arms and his best form was early on in his fights. He aint beating Ali.

You're certainly capable of forming an opinion. Most people, most of them being misinformed, would pick Ali too. But the realists who don't have a dog in the fight pick Tyson.

Ali struggled with dudes that Tyson would fukkin obliterate. Cus knew Tyson was the right man to steamroll the Ali/Holmes clones that flooded the 80's heavyweight scene.

If they were to fight tonight I'm putting my money on Tyson.

But doesn't everyone beat Tyson, according to you? Short arms? You mean like Smokin Joe? Yeah, Tyson could NEVER beat Ali. Being so sure of that is the silly part.

You're a realist without a dog in the fight?? Hahahaha that takes the biscuit that does.

Ali would toy with the fighters that battered Tyson all over the ring.

They say a fool and his money are easily parted, I don't need to say more......

No, you have it backwards. Tyson beats everyone according to you.
And somehow you've convinced yourself that's the "realist" and "objective" and "unbiased" position.

You would absolutely favour prime Tyson over EVERYONE.
I know it must have taken you a lot of time/effort to construct some sort of water-tight case in your mind to rationalize such a position, so it's totally pointless to debate with you.

Somewhere along the line you decided Tyson wasn't just your favourite heavyweight fighter, but the best heavyweight fighter ever, despite all evidence to the contrary.
It's quite impressive that you've stuck to it for so long.

Yes, and look at how much punishment Frazier had to absorb in the 1971 fight to defeat Ali.
    Way more than Tyson would.
Look at the amont of punches Frazier had to throw and attacks he had to sustain over 15 rounds to defeat Ali.
    Way more than Tyson could.

    Tyson was no Frazier.

Really, well that hurts...What? Buster had a better jab than Muhammed Ali? Sorry that anchor won't float, Tyson's best win was over a 38 year old Larry Holmes. As Larry Merchant said after Lewis blasted Tyson out,,,so ends the myth of Mike Tyson, or as Howard Cosell who saw a few fighters said of Tyson,,,,,he's beaten every statue put in front of him. Holyfield would give Ali a tougher fight

Haters? ha,ha, okay pointing out that a 42 to 1 underdog who was one notch above a clubfighter had the boxing ability to beat up and knockout a 24 year old Tyson is not hating. It's evidence that he couldn't beat the greatest heavyweight of all time who may have had the greatest heavyweight chin of all time.Ali was a helluva lot better than Buster

Hard to imagine Tyson calmly putting up with all the BS that Ali subjected Liston and Frazier to. Tyson went berserk at a press conference and wound up biting one of Lewis's legs. Apart from staring at him Liston made no attempt except pulling out a fake gun and making Ali head for the hills. Frazier didn't lose his cool the way Tyson did either.

    BTW

Ali called Joe Louis the Mummy.

    Called Floyed Patterson a Rabbit.

    Called Frazier a Gorilla,

    Wilt Chamberlain a Goat

Wonder what name he would have picked for Tyson?
