Lewis would have stopped fighting in the 7th. TKO Klit in the 7th for sure. The way he just collapsed between rounds is all the proof you need. Good stoppage though. And that uppercut Vitali took...Wow! He put the fear in Lewis' eye.

    Indeed.

Deep conspiracy theories. Next it will be that Lewis had his hair braided by Q Branch...:-(

I don't believe this one, not even he would say something that absurd. I mean come on Mac, Lewis had a small nick on his nose and Vitali copped 60 stitches. Lewis may have got one or two.

Not even The Dozer would say something that outright stupid.

Lewis was about to die of a heart attack. He was gasping like a stranded goldfish. Stamina wise he was way behind Vitali.

However, Lewis really turned it around in the last two rounds and unquestionably was getting the better of the exchanges.

The real question is whether (if the fight went on) Lewis would have gassed completely or whether Vitali's face would have fallen off first.

As much as I'd like to say Vits could have turned it around given Lewis' exhaustion, the man could barely see. One more uppercut and they would have been peeling his face off the ceiling. The doc was right to stop it.

    Trust me he did!
I posted a pic of them in the ring as the result was read out, he didn't respond to it!
And he said Lewis fouled Vitali to cause the cut!

    "an illegal back hand swipe".:patsch:lol:

Film of the fight shows a right cross causing the cut.I liked it when they tumbled to the canvas and Vitali tried to kick Lewis, just before Lewis helped him up!Very sporting.

pity the poor fool who is Lewis's hairdresser. They end up in the operating theatre A+E with multiple lacerations everytime lennox comes in for a trim.

or lewis kids who get there faces chewed off everytime lewis gives them a hug.

tis a wonder those braids didn't cut A SINGLE OTHER LEWIS OPPONENT. Just Vitali, the guy who needed an excuse for getting his face destroyed whilst prime against worst ever version of his opponent. Chance is a funny thing.

The stoppage was very appropriate. I simply cannot fathom how anyone could say otherwise.

No. Lennox Lewis was dead tried. Max Kellerman, who was a bit of a Klitschko antagonists at the time said Lewis crashed down hard on his stool at the end of the 6th round, and he never saw Lewis so tired.

Vitali? We all saw how much energy he had left when he learned the doctor was stopping the fight.

PS: Lewis was in denial during the interview. He promised a re-match. Obviously he didn't fulfill his promise.

Any time Lewis lost he's in denial.
