Agree with this regarding energy levels.

Look, props to Lewis to throwing everything but the kitchen sink into his comeback in the last rounds, but it's clear he had blown his wad. Any second wind was coming out of his ass as he deflated like a punctured football.

Take the cut out of the equation and it's clear he was going to go down like the Hindenburg. And that ****ogy is apropos because he looked like the frickin Hindenburg. Lewis trained at the buffet table rather than on the tarmac for this one.

No - Any time Lewis lost, he rematched the opponent who won the first time and settled the score.

Vitali Klitschko didn't win. Lewis was at the end of his career. There was no need for a denial and a rematch wasn't absolutely necessary.

Bottom line the worst Lewis , at a career high weight ,and at 37 giving 6 years away to Vitali,a Lewis who had been out of the ring for a year beat a Vitali who had fought 7 months earlier and he did it by tko ,shredding Vitali's face with a right hand punch that is plainly evident on the footage ,and anything else is just fan boy BS. END OF!

(Paraphrasing, cause I can't be ****d to get the exact quote)

"I'm like fine wine, I get better with age"

"I'll be around for many years to come"

    "Sure I will rematch him"

    "My girlfriend says I can't"

I like all your posts you crack me up often :good

however, I disagree with you on this point, no big deal, I just felt that Lewis was coming on more personally, maybe because I didn't take him plopping down on his stool and his heavy breathing as much as you?

I thought Vits fought a awesome fight but to me it looked like LL was timing Vits by the end and was hitting him more and more and I recall feeling relief for Vits that they stopped.

anyways, no big deal, was just saying :bbb

:conf Seemed to me Lewis was gassed out.

I agree that he was coming on harder though and that he was landing better. I think the cut was seriously affecting Vitali's vision, and that's why Lewis was starting to land the big artillery, that he couldn't see coming. How could it not affect him? His face looked like a burst sausage.

I really, really wish that these guys could have met in their primes.

It's my firm belief that Vitali would have won a rematch at that stage because Lewis was basically over the hill. Not saying he was shot, but I am saying that it seems to me that despite all his bluster about wines and whatnot, that his heart wasn't really in it anymore. I think he probably would have hung around for a while if there were some easy "for retirement" paydays to be had, but Vits is anything but an easy payday.

Thanks for your kind words btw.

    Sometimes I can't help trolling ;)

    lol, all good,

yeah if I was Lewis I wouldn't of rematched Vits either.

As a fan I feel ripped off it didn't happen because what a great first fight it was as short as it turned out :bbb

Based on him collapsing on his stool and gasping for breath like he was about to give birth.

(But, I guess I better concede, while Herol is putting me ahead.)

YOU are right Herol, Lewis was in FANTASTIC SHAPE, I never saw him better :good He was probably at his PEAK that night. He was like FINE WINE and was only getting better :thumbsup

Premise 1: Lewis never gassed in 5 rounds before
Premise 2: This was because he was in shape

Observation 1: Lewis collapsing onto his stool and gasping for breath

    Conclusion 1: He was gassing
Conclusion 2: He was giving birth

    :think

Extrapolation: Maybe Lewis hadn't trained properly for this fight, making his previous displays of stamina a moot point ... OR ... his previous displays of stamina were anomalies and this sucky version of Lewis was the TRUE Lewis ... OR .... he was giving birth :huh

    Goddamn.

    Tough one, this.

I'll go with "he was gassing because he was out of shape".

But I'm not set in stone on this after your convincing argument, Herol. :?

I'll ask you again, where did I say... in fact LETS EXPAND IT FURTHER TO GIVE U A FIGHTING CHANCE ... where did I ever claim that a 37 year old boxer was in fantastic shape?
That's ANY BOXER approaching 40 that I referred to in my entire history of posting.

yep, quit while you're a head. at least u still have your face.

he didn't collapse gasping. WATCH THE FIGHT AGAIN WITHOUT your KLITURD TINTED SPECS ON, if you can manage that.
