If you label Hatton as a hugger you know f**k all about boxing and inside fighting

Ricky has never been in a boring fight, thats why 50,000 brits follow him anywehere in the world to watch him fight

Calderon isn't a runner. He uses great foot work and good reflexes to get out of the way of punchers then he counters.

Hatton isn't a hugger. He is a mauler.

Ward isn't a hugger either. He fights well from the outside and when up close he will either hold/hug or rough you up and let his hands go.

I like watching all three of them.

hatton is no hugger just a sometimes messy but effective inside fighter, which untill mayweather his opponants couldn't deal with. And even floyd had things made a little easier with the help of cortez....

id rather watch a runner, hattons style gave me headaches, in the four rounds he fought against castillo he had clinched over 30 times.

Yep, and what about Urango, Collazo or Mayweather. I hate Hatton, but Pacquiao and Mayweather gave me my small revenge.

You can't be serious, surely?

"Lights out" Toney was an inside fighter. Hatton was a Mauler/Hugger, Ruiz style at times, geez. Inside fighter my arse.

He mauled Tszyu to death, and hugged his way to victory against Urango. Try looking at his fights with a more neutral observation next time.

And for the 50,000 that follow him around the globe..... haha please, half of 'em are soccer fans who only follow him because he was a member, fan and former lower grade player of Man City.

He is and most of the times was/is exciting, but don't try and kid yourself into thinking he was something he wasn't.

After Maussa his style changed dramatically. I think he panicked and realised that he wasn't as good as he thought he was led to believe and thus, looked to try and clinch, hold and hopefully hug his way to victory with HBO riding his ass.

I'm glad he was found out for what he was though...... A fraud.

Hatton is a mauler not a hugger

Ward isnt a hugger either he varies his style depending on his opponent

Calderon wasnt a runner he used great footwork and reflexes and now that hes older he stands in front of people and trades a bit more
