Some would argue he is already there. Edide hearn isn't popular due to his overuse of the PPV model, his frequent interviews with "koogs" and his silver spoon. I've seen many say they hope matchroom closes shop and leaves boxing. Would British boxing be better off if we went back to the days with ol Frankie boy running business over here? What about Al Haymon and PBC making inroads to the uk
No, think about how far boxing in the UK has come on since Eddie Hearn and his skysports deal. How much more limelight his fighters get?!? A lot I would say! If Frank has got the sky sports deal himself then I would be inclined to agree, but he didn’t. Yes, matchroom has taken a dip in the last 6 months to a year but it was always going to happen with how high the stock was!
Nope he was on top for years and when he had all the tv and dates he messed fighters around put some absolute garbage on I know a guy who works the pyrotcnics for both Mr and f w the production quality the cost cutting By a certain some one is real apparently Then you have fighters not being paid Took to court etc etc Things are best left as they are Lots of average fighters in the UK making good money I mean just look at what some one like Coyle as made to say skeete Night and day boys night and day
Everything from venues, security, ring announcer and music is Poundland. He even built his own stadium once.
No, we don’t want 1 dominate force - we need them both fighting each other for the top spot. I feel Bazza and Eddie have a big decision to make soon..the DAZN thing is simply not working and the money they had looks to have already dried up. Do they keep flogging away or re-focus on their bread and butter over here- they can’t do both IMO.
But it was ok when f w a n k had no1 spot and wouldn't work with such a person Be careful what you start as it came back to bite him in the a55
Any scenario that prevents a single promoter having too much power is a positive, regardless of the people involved. Warren historically has done his best work when he's the underdog and clawing his way up. He seems to have got his mojo back now, which is a good thing. I don't think a Warren monopoly though is what we want to see.
Warren's power is falling pretty rapidly, hes basically a puppet to Top Rank and MTK now. Saving grace is he has a TV deal. The Top Rank/MTK link up is the real threat to Hearn.
