Usyk is already an ATG. Even before turning pro he had an exemplary career as an amateur. As a pro first 4 belt Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion in such a short time, then goes up and in only his 3rd Heavyweight fight gives the Unified Champion a complete boxing lesson to take his 4 belts WBA WBO IBF IBO too, become Unified Champion himself. If Usyk then goes on to defeat Joshua in the rematch and then manages to defeat Fury for his WBC belt to become Undisputed Heavyweight Champion then this would surely put him in the top echelons of the ATG list. However holding onto all the belts due to,politics as well as beating Fury will be the hardest part imo .
Well damn, I guess Dorian Yates would have beaten the **** out of Usyk then, since Dorian is much more of an ATG bodybuilder than AJ.
He already is an ATG. The AJ win solidified that. Guy has almost unified two divisions in under 20 fights and he didn't just win, defend and unify all his world titles on the road he did so in his opponent's backyards and he didn't require or ask for a single ounce of A-side privilege or any advantages and he won all his fights via clean boxing with zero deck-stacking or use of dirty tactics. Even in the amateurs he won all his medals at major championships on the road. He's never won a gold medal or world title at home and he's had a grand total of one Ukrainian judge in all of his world title fights and his last 10 fights since moving up to the world level and never had a home referee. The fact that he's beaten so many punchers (and almost all of his last 10 opponents and he fought huge punchers in the WSB and amateurs too) and KO artists and never been really hurt, let alone dropped or stopped and in their backyards should gain him admittance to Valhalla alone. The only hall fighters with below average punch resistance belong in is the hall of shame, how many other fighters have achieved what he's done and fought the amount of punchers he has and not been badly hurt, dropped, stopped, KO'd or worse of all made to do a disgusting and deeply humiliating chicken dance?
He's an ATG cruiserweight, but not yet HW atg yet I'd say. Beating AJ once isn't enough to be HW ATG IMO. If he loses in the rematch then he's done the same as Ruiz. Is Ruiz ATG HW?
