Since the question is like this... In such a scenario, one could (more or less) say that Usyk "cleaned up the division", which certainly makes him an ATG. Let's not forget that before the appearance of Usyk, the "big three" (Fury, Wilder, AJ) occupied the first 3 places on the ring magazine list for years.
No he's not. He has pretty much just AJ at this point. If he beats Fury, Wilder, and a few of these up and comers then he is. Get Hrgovic in the fall if no Fury fight and then go for Wilder or Fury next year. The winner of Zhang-Joyce is a potential opponent and anyone else in the top 10, just gotta fight on the regular. Don't waste what's left of your career and get rusty.
No. If he beats Fury for all the belts and successfully defends against wilder (a very big IF), then he has cleaned out the top three in the division. AJ, Deontay and Tyson F were considered the top dogs when Usyk moved pat the beginning of the decade. Covid delayed things a bit, and he's getting older and so might no pull off the feat. But if he does, he will be an ATG Heavyweight.
