Would Valero have beaten Pacquiao if they fought for the WBC Lightweight belt?

    No.

Valero is overrated for being a psychotic freak with a Hugo Chavez tattoo.

I WAS a huge Valero fan (until he did that cowardly deed)

but aside from that as a fan I have to admit on paper pac would have won but valero was so dangerous so powerful I wouldnt have been suprised if he floored pac and knocked him out

i think Valero's power is a tad overrated around here, he couldn't put down or seriously hurt DeMarco. He beat him with great volume and agression, his power did have some impact, but it wasn't something ungodly. Maybe his power didn't carry that well to lightweight.

As good as he looked vs DeMarco Valero was still improving, there was craft behind the wild aggression. People overrate his power but his speed doesnt always get mentioned, Valero was a tremendous athlete.

I think Valero was good enough to beat Manny in a fight that couldve been the best of the 21st century. Such a shame

Pacquiao would be too fast for him and that would be the difference.

I always believed Valero had nothing to beat Pacquiao with expect for one point of Pac's career.

If it was Valero who faced him that night in Araneta Coliseum instead of Oscar Larios, the papers would read "Valero shocks the Philippines in three rounds"

    Absolutely !!!!!
Pound for pound, Valero better than Pac in every category.
    Valero walks right thru Pac.
    Pac may not wake up.
And he would do the same to Marquez.

This wouldn't have been close. Valero seems highly overrated on this forum for whatever reason.

Although Manny only campaigned I believe 1 or 2 fights at 135 (I remember the Diaz destruction,) he would've been too fast and too strong for Valero. Late stoppage sounds about right, if that.

Epic war, I honestly believe it'd have been. No result would surprise me. I'd pick a Pac stoppage around 6. Both probably tasting canvas.
