Id put Chaggers, Haye, Povetkin in the top 10, top 5 for some, no doubt and prime Samuel Peter from around that era.

J Ruiz, Holyfield, Mcline, Liakhovich, Donald no way.

But Serge. The Klitchkos, Povetkin, Haye, Chaghaev get in the top 10, maybe Peter, i know Haye wouldnt last long in this SHW era so he wont be there for long, chaggers picks up loses, And povetkin would be beaten by the top but remain in the top 10. Valuev doesnt, He beat none of them anyway. The ones he did beat dont rank in the top 10, or probably the top 20 nowadays.

Now that is over an era of 5years, Prime Valuev 2004-2009?. Its bit unfair to compare 5years to this one year of boxing. Lets say his prime stage was winning over Ruiz and Holyfield, Liakovich.

Anderson for the record is a totally unproven fighter, and thats a political ranking.

You need to take a gander at the current top 10, Lep. Particularly the bottom half. Some of those fighters haven't done anything yet.

Obviously Holyfield and Donald were old and past their best but Liakhovich and Ruiz would be top 10 when we compare them to some of the fighters ranked in the current top 10 who, as said, haven't done anything yet, let alone won world titles

Liakovich would be chinned by Luis Ortiz. Ruiz by Fat Andy.

Lets make a personal Top 10 and avoid the politic rankings.

    Fury
    Uysk
    Joshua
    Parker
    Hrgovic
    Zhang
    Wilder

These 3 could be replaced by Valuev.
    Dubois
    Kabayel
    Sanchez

Because i know he doesnt beat the top 7.

There's a whole bunch from the Klitschko era who would be too 10 today. Hell, some of their victims still were top 10 in their late 30s during this last era and an old way past prime Wlad came within a whisker of KO-ing AJ and lost a close decision to Belly. He also knocked out The Dosser in the gym.

No this era is stronger on a h2h basis and quality. Wladimir klitchko is not Nikolai Valuev. 48year holyfield and 33 John Ruiz are not 40year old Wladimir Klitchko.

Povetkin is the only other crossover from that era but he was better post 2010, i rate him as one of the best HWs of the last 20years anyway.
Chaghaev was long beaten and destroyed by Lucas Browne, past prime, his resume isnt much, i just know he was skilled.
Haye would be in so many wars, they were need 10plumbers to put him back together again.

Don't be silly, Lep. Ortiz's best two wins are still to this day Charles Martin and Bryant Jennings. The Dosser's are Ortiz and Stiverne. Stiverne's are Arreola, who was whooped by Vitali and Adamek, and a an old past prime Ray Austin who Wlad iced in 2 rounds without throwing a single right hand. Stiverne went life and death with an old past prime Ortiz

IIRC, Liakhovich is only 1 of 2 world champions The Dosser has beaten in like 47 fights and he was shot beyond belief when he fought him.

In no order outside the top 2

    Wlad
    Vital
    Byrd
    Chagaev
    Iggy
    Haye
    Povetkin
    Peter
    Valuev

And Valuev beat a record number of 0 of them.

Liakovichs best win is who? Ortiz chins him.

And Frank Sanchez, Anderson and Kabayel haven't beaten anyone other than Ajagba and Mak. They're top 10. Vauev was a word champion not an unproven prospect or a one good win prospect

He was a Well Backed well protected European freakshow, who beat very old men.

    And not one good SHW.

I disagree. I don't just think prime Wlad and Vitali beat the top boys today outside of Usyk I think some of their victims do too or are 50-50 versus them or would stand a good/decent chance of doing so

I'm not arguing he was some great or that he beats the top 5 or so today. I'm arguing he would be ranked in the top 10 today based of what he actually did do. Again, look who is ranked in the bottom half of the current top 10

Povetkin is the only one i see thriving. Haye picks up a few losses and chaggers does in current climate, FROM that era of Valuev.

Yeh i rate the current bottom half of the top 10 higher than the versions of the fighters Valuev beat. Maybe other than Sanchez.

I dont think any of the top 10 struggle with old John Ruiz, Holyfield and they all beat Liakovich most of them by brutal KO.
