Would Ward have accepted the Kovalev fight with 3 Russians as judges?

Kovalev's and Ward's network, were pulling for Kovalev
to win this fight. He's a more exciting, crowd friendly
fighter. This "network" prides themselves on showing
exciting fighters and often ridicule their own fighters
that don't fight in that manner. If anything, it would've
been easier to surmise that the fix would've been in
against Ward not Kovalev. Said network doesn't benefit
as much by a Ward win.

Any time hbo show certain fighters(you know who I'm talking about) they go overboard in favorability hers a example a certain heavy weight was fighting(hint he lost his title because he could not go into octopus mode) and getting hit J Lampley came up with every excuses why he was getting hit girlfriend just had a baby and depress its affecting the fighter. Roy Jones had to remind him the fighter in front of him has something to do with him getting hit. My favorite one is he populize Mexican style I guess Mexicans had nothing to do with that style. Oh wait when Mayweather box hes a coward bla bla but a certain fight does the same thing hes the greatest fighter to ever live hes the matrix bla bla bla.In other words certain fighters can do no wrong no criticism for them. People said Ward had the Juges in his pocket yea right.

 

You are a very good poster, knowledgeable of the sport from what I've read, one of my favorites here. So that's why I ask, do you really feel this was a robbery, or are you just having some fun?

 

Rd 1. Kovalevs controlling the pace, being the agressor and his jab that rocks Ward is by far the biggest shot of the rd.
Rd 2 KD. Nothing else needs said.
Rd 3. Ward ties up well, lands some kidney shots, but again, Kovalev lands the more telling shots, the better counters, and wins the wrestling matches.
Rd 4....close rd.
Rd 5. Kovalev nearly takes Wards ear off. Ward clawing at his ear like 5X. KOvalevs jab and winning the wrestling matches, along with the OH R wins the rd.
Rd 6. Ward being almost exclusively defensive, mighta threw 10 punches not in the clinch. Kovalev on pure boxing, and and better jab.

10. Ward tries to duplicate his theatrics of the 9th, but Kovalev times the showboating and blasts Ward for it. Puts Ward on the backfoot, and in the clinch for the remainder. Clear to Kovalev.
11. Wards best rd. ONLY RD in which Ward was the dominant fighter, and actually won on his offense.
12. Closish rd, but KOvalev looking for the big shot and landing several, while controlling the pace. Ward does his best at slipping em, but even the grazing shots seem to effect him. Good comeback rd for Sergey, though Ward did land some hard ones of his own.

Ward did well not to get stopped. But this robbery makes Helenius v Chisora look like a dominating Helenius performance.

Again, Kovalev is the CHAMPION. He scores the KD. He lands the shots that HURT the challenger. He controls the pace. He is the aggressor and throws more, lands more, and is just as effective defensively considering he was never in danger.

From the podcasts that I've listened to that covered this issue, they said Roc Nation has no idea how to promote this type of event. They are musical act/concert promoters, but when it comes to doing fight promoting they do the bare minimum. Also said Ward is very much the same way, and only does appearances he is legally obligated to do, he hates that side of the business and will not go out of his way to promote his fights. Because he has his fanbase, that he mainly fights for almost exclusively in Oakland and a guarantee on how much he gets paid per fight. Also heard Kovalev and his people were begging Ward to go with them to do more fan interaction, and non-contractual activities to help promote the fight, and Andre simply had no interest in helping make the fight as big as possible. He's content with the fans he has, and the numbers his fights generate, because they made him rich enough, and he simply doesn't care about all the other stuff, to generate more interest.
