He would still beat him comprehensively albeit in a different manner and perhaps not as spectacularly.

Ward would have won no doubt but Im not sure he would have went at him as agressively as Froch...might have boxed him more then broke him down.

 

Bute was smiling and trying to be Carl's buddy during the first 2 rds. He was boxing and pulling his punches.

Ward kept his quicker jab in Carls face all night, and moved laterally and in and out while throwing punches.

Bute mustve saw the Ward fight and thought he would box Carl similarly as Ward, except he doesnt have the lateral movement or the footworl to get in an out. MOF, I think he got caught coming in without throwing.:think

As for a Ward Bute match.....well Ward aint Froch powerwise or chinwise. Ward would have to box smart, like he almost always does, and keep Lucian honest.

However, Bute still throws the best L UC in the game, and if Ward came in while missing with the jab, Bute could land that and end it at any time.

My pick would be Bute by T/KO or close decision. Robbery for Bute in Montreal. Robbery for Ward in Oakland.:thumbsup
