no. bute wouldnt have respected wards power as much as frochs power. he would have tried more, landed a few body punches and lose to a boring UD to ward, because ward would have landed more due his technical ability.

Nothing funny about it. Bute is the biggest hype job of this era. He feasted on no-hopers and has beens was put on ***** street by a limited plodder in Andrade and had to be saved from getting Koed by a hometown ref. Ward is one of the most a mentally tough guys in the sport he would eat Bute's lunch on the inside. Bute has a suspect heart and it wouldn't be out of the question for him to quit in this fight after taking a thrashing. Ward is light years better and more complete than Bute. You don't melt down in a big fight like the way Bute did and call yourself elite.:deal Don't be mad at me because I knew Bute wasn't **** from the jump, his fans hyped him as the second coming and was here to give them a sobering dose of reality. I was calling for him to lose as soon as he stepped up and I'll be damned if I wasn't spot on.

 

Ward couldn't KO green or Miranada who's chins are worse than Bute's.....Ward almost got KO'd by Boone who doesn't hit nearly as hard as Bute. Ward has no power, he ain't KO'ing anyone let alone an A fighter. His ring IQ and infighting would be too much for Bute though imo.

You gotta go with Ward on points after some rough patches cause he'll find a way inside and start mauling so I'd say he wins a 7-5, 8-4 type decision. Ward only looks spectacular against guys who don't move or have any speed. He's not that guy that goes out and dominates every fight, he makes it ugly and finds a way to get the W, he's a winner at all costs but not a guy that usually wins in dominant fashion unless he's got a brawler with limited techinical ability. We're talking about the same Ward who struggled with Bika that Bute didn't even lose a round to. The same Ward that couldn't put away Miranda that Bute demolished.... You also gotta give Bute a serious punchers chance here since Ward was almost KO'd by a journeyman with limited power in Boone.

 

You said American boxing was a joke. Funny because the USA has the most title holders right now in boxing. Remember when American Garcia beat up Amir Khan?
Remember when American Paulie Malignaggi won the WBA title? The USA has more current champions than any country and we also have the pound 4 pound best fighter in Mayweather.

And the USA has 4 good heavyweight prospects including one that won the UK prizefighter,Tor Hamer.

maybe i will sound like a biased over the top Bute fan here but I think Bute can win the rematch vs Froch and can beat Ward

Ive said it on here and taken **** for it but I think Bute got really underrated after the loss

it was as bad a loss as you can suffer but he has shown he has the goods, maybe the next night he does what he always does

he has a dangerous left uppercut and fight changing/ending body shot

I think if he were to land it on either Ward or Froch he could still end it

 

no, ward would have been much more cautious and wary of bute's power, boxing off the back foot to a UD, where as carl used pressure and power to bully bute
