Would Ward have Beaten Bute as Impressively as Froch did?

The fact that he would stay in there competitive throughout doesn't mean that the fight would not be as one-sided as Ward against Green or Ward against Bika. Andre S.O.G. likes to win fights by way of winning rounds methodically, not by way of running into risk of getting caught.

Nah. Bute still is a skilled fighter and Ward has no pop. Bute would give him harder fight but in the end likely Ward UD.

    Few points to explore...

Ward does not posses the chin of Froch, pretty much rules out Ward walking through Bute like Carl did.

Ward does not posses the power of Froch, pretty much rules out getting Bute out early and before Lucian can find any kind of rythym.

Ward is also not as intimidating as Froch and his fights certainly lack the same kind of hostile atmospere, which means i highly doubt Bute would freeze.

I seriously question how easily Bute makes weight, he looked very weak against a guy he supposedly outweighs on fight night.

I think despite any potential weight problems i still think Bute has more than an outside chance of beating Ward. Ward as highly skillful as he is, is not impossible to tag. We all know Bute has accuracy and power by the bucket loads, certainly not mission impossible.

No, simply because pillow fisted Ward wouldn't have been able to stop Bootay.

Ward beats Bute's ass but on points only

Maybe not as spectacularly but just as thoroughly.

Agreed, this is a classic case of "A beats B and B beats C but A perhaps struggles but wins a UD to C"

Ward hurt Froch, so I'm not sure why some think he couldn't/wouldn't hurt Bute...UD is the safe bet, but Ward has enough pop to keep Froch, Kesslar, and Abraham off him.

Ward's skill leads to a wide UD.

Froch's will lead to an early KO.

Don't get me wrong, Ward is incredibly strong mentally, but he doesn't apply it the same way as Froch. He doesn't have the power and is too intelligent to engage in a fire fight. Ward could stop Bute, but only after an ugly long fight, fought mostly on the inside.

Froch stops Bute early, Ward beats both by UD.

Different skill sets, resulting in different out comes.

ward isnt a power puncher. but i dont think this fight would go the distance. ward would put him away .especially if the was in oakland.

bute tends to lack fatigue, lack of chin, lack mental toughness, maybe thats harsh. he stepped up and got his ass kicked.

ward would have bullied him , bute would not of been able to keep ward off him even with his lack of power. the lack of power that still wobbled iron chin carl froch.

ward would put bute away . especially that bute that showed up to fight froch . just chillin on the ropes like a rock em sock em boxer. dude bute got mad skill but just wanna sit on the ropes . ward woulda capatalize on all of this.

Hell no. The question on Lucian going into that fight was his chin, and that got exposed. Ward is not a hard hitter at all. If they had fought in Montreal, it would have been a close fight that ward would have won.

    No, but he still wins.

We all knew his chin was shaky, but I don't think anyone thought it was that bad. I was more looking to see how Bute's boxing skills held up against Froch. And they didn't at all.

If Bute tries to box Ward, he loses. And Ward has already proven he can deal with pressure. Bute's only chance is to land that killer uppercut. But that's a longshot against Ward. ALTHOUGH, Ward has a tendency to get sloppy late in fights. Especially when he thinks it out of reach. Bute's chances of landing that left hand substantially grow.

Ward abuses Bute worse then he did Froch and Kessler but Bute likely sees the bell.

A win is a win however and in that regard...

    Ward - 3

    Europe - 0

People Ignore this fact all the time.. Ward Opponents stop throwing and get defensive because they don't want to get stopped because acumilation of Wards Punches, Pressure and Pop......

From the look of things if you thing Ward has Pillows for hands how come Bruser like Abraham and Froch didn't cut thru him like a hit knife thru butter..?

Ward Snapped Froch's Head back at least twice during their fight.. once in Rd 4.. Ward had Froch Retreating in 2 rounds.. By the looks of the tape FROCH Was no where near getting stopped.. but he was hurt..
