An unwaivering NO. And it's not all Wards fault. Yes, his style isnt very entertaining, but last night, GGG led with his jab much like Ward when he's being offensive. That said, more often than not, he's spoiling, and ppl don't come to see that. Lemieux had trouble getting to GGG b/c of GGGs footwork and ramrod jab. I think he would get to Ward more effectively, but.....and it's a HUGE but, once he got to him, he'd be smothered by a guy with a 20 lb wieght advantage, and although Wards chin isnt as solid as GGGs, it's still enough with the hieght and weight adavantage to essentially do what GGG did and stifle much of Davids work. If Lemiuex moved up to SMW and fought Ward, he'd lose a 118-110 type decision, and probably look worse that he did vs GGG even though had this one gone the distance, it would have undoutbedly been a 120-105 or less decision. :think

For perspective I was in the last fight ever at Yankee stadium with Cotto against Yuri Foreman. You had a known attraction Cotto with the added bonus of being the last fight EVER in Yankee stadium. There were ALOT of empty seats.
That wasn't at the old Yankee Stadium. It was the first fight in the new one. And I'm sure there were significantly more seats available than MSG's capacity, so I'm not surprised there were empty ones. I was at the fight last night and the atmosphere was excellent. There aren't many fighters who can bring that type of crowd. And Ward DEFINITELY isn't one of them.
