Would Wilder have matched Holmes unbeaten run if he fought Larry`s opposition?

Idiots keep pointing out Wilder`s 40-0 record and saying he surpass Larry`s record and then Marciano`s and he might but could he have done it if instead of the bums he`s fought he had to face Larry`s opposition instead? I feel Holmes would have landed far more jabs v Ortiz who was by far Wilder`s best opponent to date, but I feel Spinks would have done better v Wilder than Ortiz did and he was the man that stopped Holmes breaking Rocky`s record.

He would have been facing much better opposition earlier in his career. By the time he reached 40 fights he'd probably be a much better fighter than he is now, I'm not sure that's even up for debate, I'd expect him to pick up at least 1 loss on the way to fight number 49 with Spinks.

I would concede that Wilder's win over Ortiz is probably the second best win the division has seen since Fury beat Klitschko

    The spoon
    Carl Williams
    Norton
    Shavers 1 and 2
    Gerry Cooney
That showed up to fight Holmes I would pick over Wilder.

No. Several fighters would have beaten him. But, that is all academic, because, several fighters from that era would have beaten Wilder BEFORE he would have ever lucked into a title fight.

Yes. Deontay Wilder would beat the first 40 guys Larry Holmes fought.

Who was going to beat him? Scott Ledoux? Obie English? Young Sanford? Ossie Ocasio? Alfredo Evangelista? Leon? Lorenzo Zanon? The corpse of Muhammad Ali?

Norton would've folded up faster than he did against Foreman, Shavers and Cooney. Wilder hits harder than they did with single shots.

And Shavers isn't beating Wilder. Wilder hits harder than Earnie Shavers and he's 6'7".

Shavers didn't have the one-punch KO power Wilder does. He didn't leave people convulsing on the floor.

Not only does Wilder beat everyone Holmes fought up to Holmes' 40th fight, unless Wilder breaks his hand (like he did against Stiverne the first time), Wilder probably stops all 40 of them.

Based on beating Stivern and a 45 yr old Ortiz? How many flush rt hands did Wilder land on Stivern first time around. What in Gods name are you basing this on???

He broke his right hand against Stiverne in the fourth round in their first fight and had to box his way to a decision. You saw how many flush right hands Stiverne took in the rematch before he was left in a heep.

And I'm basing it on what I've seen. He nearly killed Liakhovich and Spzilka. They were having convulsions on the floor.

Who did Shavers destroy that left you so confident in him? Henry Clark (after Clark went the distance with him the first time)? Cookie Wallace?

    Good Lord.

    Wake up!

Wilder is one of the best one-punch knockout artists this division has EVER seen. He reminds me of Max Baer.

You think Ken Norton or Carl freaking Williams are going to outpoint him? Based on what ... their experiences in dealing with monster punchers? Yeah, they were great against bangers. Especially guys who TOWERED over them.

I'm also sick of this bull with people diminishing Ortiz by saying he was 45 or 50.

There are about 30 of Ortiz's amateur fights online. His age has progressed consistently going back to his earliest amateur bouts.

It's just another way people are trying to denigrate Wilder. Or they are just being lazy, or both.

    You've heard enough?

What are you basing Ken Norton and Carl Wiliams and Cooney beating Wilder on?

You never elaborated. Their steel chins? How they survived wars with other sluggers?

    Christ.

Did you not know Wilder broke his hand against Stiverne? Is this news to you?

Listen man we are way to far apart on this for me to even get into this with you. I don't have the time or patience. U believe what u want and I'll stick with rational thinking. Take care

I am being rational. You'll come around. Probably by the end of the year.

I doubt by then you'll still be picking Carl Williams to beat Wilder. (Jerry Jones had Williams on the deck.)

Man. At least I hope you won't.
