Wlads confidence is much higher now than in their first fight which would result in a more aggressive approach, so if he had Peter hurt as in rd12, he would put him away. It also makes him more vulnerable to Peters bombs of course. To me, this is the most exciting fight to be made at HW at the moment.

I don't think he would be able to do it.

Could? Hell yeah, if Peter made so much as a single miscalculation he'd be toast.

Would? Not sure...my money would be on a Wlad UD...:think

Scam Cheater would get knocked out I have no doubt. If we get a referee that actually does his job, Scam won't be allowed to hit behind the head anymore, and he won't even score one knockdown.

No. More likely the other way around. Peter has an IRON chin, and while Wlad's is not as bad as some say, it's not rock solid either. I'll go with the guy with the solid chin.

The guy with the solid chin but less than half the skill and suffering stylistic and natural physical disadvantages? :huh

It's possible, we know Wlad has the power to hurt Peter but he would probably just try to outbox him. I think the more likely outcome would be Wlad dominating Peter thoroughly over 12

Right now, Wlad is mentally stronger than he was the first time they fought, and his footwork has improved greatly. Meanwhile he hasn't lost a step in any category

Peter is still the same crude, wide punching, no defense having slugger he was the first time around. If he couldn't defeat the unsure, still lacking confidence, more nervous Wlad he fought a few years ago I don't see what he's going to do to beat this confident, more fluid, improved in every aspect Wlad of the present

No, he wouldnt stop Peter. I think he'd still be tentative because Peter does hit hard and he knows it.

I doubt he'd open up real big on Samuel, plus Peter has a pretty damn solid beard.

but zakman even you know far more skills and physical talents can neutralise weak/iron chins?

anyway, i agree with the confidence assessment. it might open wladimir up to more chances for peter to get that lucky punch on the button, but i think the improvements wladimir has made since their fight has been far more than what peters done.

and since confidence is an important aspect to wladimir or any fighter for that matter, he will be even more relaxed and when your more at home, you burn less energy. he needed that peter fight to prove he could still take punches from a heavy handed opponent. he took a few shots early on and realised he can take it, just as george foreman said:

"it's satisfying when your trainer tells you something in the corner and you see it working." and "that thought i can't take it is gone in klitschko's mind".

these were interesting statements and big george who had gone through similar demons after losing to ali, would know better than any one ringside. i think wladimir will come in with more aggression which might well end up in a late KO for him, while peter will be thinking too much in the ring because he remembers how much pain he had to go through last time.

for peter to trouble wladimir in a rematch he has to show HUGE improvements. the maskaev fight will show us many answers.

can peter beat a strong big boxer in maskaev (who has learnt not to leave himself wide open like previously).

and can he win some boxing trades with maskaev. if he can beat maskaev by systematically breaking down maskaev's defence with body shots and well timed counters etc. then he's improved.

if he wins by throwing wide looping power shots and catches oleg towards the end of the match while trailing on the scorecards then this doesn't bode well for him as it shows he simply relies on headhunting and against a guy nearly 39 or something like it.

if he loses well, sam should never be mentioned with wladimir again, unless it's 2-3 years down the road and he's worked his way back up by beating a real legit top ten heavy for the first time ever :hey

looking good against toney is obviously not counted. a small obese heavyweight. never mind how semi slick toney was. the age, size, strength were ALL in peters favour and he argubly lost the first fight :deal the batcheldor fight proved toney is too far gone these days.

Wlad is a much better fighter than Peter, but Peter did drop Wlad on multiple occasion during their last fight. I'd expect Wlad to be super cautious if they fiought again. I don't think Wlad will stop Peter. He'll beat him with ease, but it goes the distance.

Now if the question is CAN Wald stop Peter... Yes I think he can. Peter's chin is pretty good, but Wlad hurt him already. If he wanted to, he could take the risk and put him away. But, it's not a smart gamble to go toe to toe with a guys who is nothing more than a crude slugger. Wlad knows this.

Wlad let off bombs on peter the whole fight and did not hurt him until like round 11 And if anybody gets tkod its Wlad. Peter already knows he can take wlads punch. Wlad was landing at will and often. Every punch peter landed with anything knocked Wlad down. Give me a break. Wlad wins, but by cautious decision if he goes near peter again.

It could happen but it wouldn't be easy. If it did happen, I would bet it would be the left hook that did it.

Yes, TKO in the late rounds for Wlad the second time around
