Your no doubts a fool, how am i a hater for saying wlad would do well in the 90's but would have hard fights against a couple of guys and lose to people like lewis. Thats alled the truth no hating about it.
Right. IF Lewis gets hit often AND had a glass chin - how do you account for the fact he only got stopped twice? (One time less than Wlad so far. And on the canvas at least TEN times less than Wlad). Briggs, Rahman, McCall. Lewis fought them all about 10 years ago, when they were actually decent. NOW those guys are STILL in and around the championship mix. So you're admitting, that those guys that were nothing special, are around the current belt holders calibre? Yes? In their late 30's and early 40's - when nowhere near as good as they were in the 90's? I would suggest that Rahman and McCalls achievements are better then any of Sanders, Brewster and PURRITY. Can you see Sam Peter KD Lewis THREE times, regardless of tactics? I can't. That's more times in one fight than Lewis was on the canvas in his whole career. Yes. Wlad got up. but he had no business being on the canvas in the first place. I didn't say Briggs was anything special. I said Lewis FOUGHT him, not boxed him. Something that Wlad could never, ever do. Wlad would have a panic attack if that happened.
atsch I always contribute bud ! then you guys start with the bull**** about skills fighters didnt have from other eras ! fact is if you want to get picky LL fought TUA when TUA was 25 pounds over weight and BRIGGS after he had been starched by a bum 2 rounds faster and OLD GEORGE beat him ( he should have been awarded the decision ) and HOLY and MIKE when they were done ! Add the fact that a lightheavyweight and a grandfather won titles in the 90s and it doesnt lend alot of weight to your argument ! VLAD is world better in every way then every fighter in the 90s except LL ! And they are very comparable ! And the last time I checked there is no chance in hell for any lightheavy to knock off the top dog in the devision or any chance of a grandfatehr pulling it off either ! The devision is in fine shape and far fron weak ! :good
Great and very accurate post, Wlad has been on the canvas 11 times, and been TKOd 3 times already and his career is not even over yet. Lewis' had mental toughness, something Wlad lacks for a heavyweight champ. As Sandman already pointed out, what the hell was Wlad doing on the canvas all them times against Peter, he was hanging on for dear life when he barely got hit a couple of the times. Lewis' is and always will be the better fighter.:good
James Toney and Roy Jones Junior ring any bells? Former Middleweights? Holyfield has just had a title shot. McCall won an eliminator (one of ****ing hundreds) for the WBC title. At what age? Maskaev is how old? 38? Up and coming Tony Thomson is 36?? do you really want me to continue?
Vitaly and Macrovic are not so hard puncher, they wear opponents down(KO list maybe show somethin else, but stil..) What belts they have? They only have good reputation in older years. Brewster and Purrity fight was stamina issue... Lewis vs Peter never happen, so i cant see anything.. Lewis not only fought, he was trouble a while, with Briggs:deal I've never seen documents when doctor say wlad has panic attack..
atsch Here we go again ! How in hell do you know how mentally tough he is ! he has never been counted out and most of the knockdowns were balance shots or exaustion ! throw in the fact that he had fought a hell of alot more ( which in itself gives more chance of getting beat or knocked down ) then LL did early in his carreer then you can chalk up alot of what happened to him to bad circunstances ! :deal
Both beat the same guy and he was from LLs era ! None have a chance in hell right now ! I guess you can say 3 lightheavyweights won titles from guys from LLs era !:yep
It doesnt matter if i go down every fight if i win those fight...only winner will be remembered. Wlad has already much more fights than lewis has his whole career
If thats the case, why every couple days you see a thread asking why the heavyweight division is so weak or does anybody still watch heavyweight boxing. I think Wlad is a great fighter skill wise, but mentally he is not. When gets hit with anything remotely big he goes into a panic attack and excessively holds, that doesnt sound like a great champ to me. Guys like Bowe and Tyson would test his weak chin early in the fight, and from what I see Wlad couldnt handle it. He is defensively weak, and does not take a punch well. I just fell Wlad would become more like target practice for some of the greater heavyweights in the 90s.
BOWE is and was an overrated joke and as far as the rest of your comments you must be very young ! the same **** was said during the 90s and 80s and 70s ect ! MIKE is and was TO SMALL ! :deal I also suggest you watch HOLY and LL and ALI and see what they did when threatened ! its called clinching ! Also VLAD has a higher KO ratio then any of the guys you mention ! PS ther was one great fighter in the 90s and his name was LL ! :hi:
