Would Wlad survive in the 90s?

I think he would do ok but lewis and holyfield would beat him and tyson,bruno and mercer would all give him hard fights.

 

I think thats a fair asessment. He would always have a change due to his awesome power and offensive skill, but against premier heavies like Lewis, Tyson etc, it wouls probably not be enough

 

He'd be a decent top ten contender. Lewis, Bowe,Holyfield and Tyson would all be favoured over him but he'd compete with the rest.
I'd favour Mercer over him as well I think.
Seldon,Bruno, Hide and Morrison I think he'd beat.

 

Axel Schultz in my opinion won Foreman in their fight. Foreman says that fight should judge a draw...i hope this works, wlad vs Schultz..

BOWE was beaton brain dead by the first good big guy he fought ( Who didnt carry close to the firepower of VLAD and please dont make excuses because BOWE WAS IN HIS PRIME ) MIKE couldnt KO any of the even decent big guys he fought and none were close the VLAD talent wise and as far as HOLY he simply would never outbox VLAD and wasnt a big puncher ! nuff said there ! Tyson is a great pressure fighter only for a short period. Since Wlad does not really have an uppercut arsenal, he would grab and hold and wear down Tyson for the first rounds. Then, he would tee off and destroy Tyson.

Holyfield would have the chin, but Wlad would stay on the outside and not put himself in any danger. Combinations too much? No, Wlad's handspeed and superior jab would negate those.

Golota? You have to be kidding. The moment he tastes Wlad's accurate and powerful shots, he is done.

Wlad beats every 90's hw except for Lennox. Period. End of story.

 

I don't know if he would survive but he and his brother Vitali just were LIVE at this moment in CNN World of Sports and disrespected Evander Holyfield, making jokes about his age, that he could come back after 2 years when he'd be something like sixty - at the same time, they are sayin that they respect him and that he appeared in good physical shape when he lost a points decision. Wlad expects to unify early 2008 and Vitali to come back and fight all of a sudden for a TITLE in 2008 (???), I wish them both bad luck!

I think Wlad would have been a good contender and even picked up a title but would not be as dominant as he is now over todays weak division.

Wlad has undoubted talent and a serious arsenal of offensive weapons that would make him a very dangerous proposition for any opponent. Wlad at his best is capable of beating anyone but he has also shown a propensity to get beaten by less talented fighters during his career. I think he would have picked up some very notable wins but because of his well known flaws he would have come unstuck now and again which would prevent him from ever being as dominant as he is today.

In the 90's he would also be lacking one very important aspect of his game and that would be Steward, who would be training Lewis. We wouldn't see the Wlad we see today who is more cautious, paces himself and has learnt how to survive when hurt. Guys like Mercer and Ibeabuchi would have beaten him and any puncher would be dangerous. Holyfield who style wise matches up horribly against Wlad would whether the early assualt and stop a tiring Wlad, Tyson would be way behind before landing a bomb and stopping him and Lewis would simply be too much.

Vitali would have definately been in the mix and been regarded up their with Lewis, Bowe and Holyfield or at least a step below with Moorer and Mercer. Though injuries would once again prevent him from ever sustaining any long title reign.
