Don't forget that Joe Louis outweighted 72% of his opponents.
He was the "superheavyweight" back in his day.

Lewis outweighted most of his opponents.

    Ali did

    frazier did

    foreman did

Mike Tyson in his prime did (A good majority of his fight from start career until Spinks he outweighted most, and the minority he didn't outweigh were often less than a lbs heavier...)

    Holmes did

    Wlad does

    Vitali does

It are the heaviest guy who are most often the most dominant, and it's not just coincidence.

    ...
Did I say "bloat up like Eric Esch"?

I was talking about the guys who are (naturally) the bigger ones.
George foreman is bigger than Naseem Hamed, though Hamed probably outweighs foreman right now
Never implied Hamed would be "eating" George, though he might use his grill.

Since the guys I mentioned are known for staying in shape (except maybe Ali, though he wasn't the fattest around) we can just look at their weight. (Lewis was only 250 lbs against Rahman and Vitali)

An "athletic" 230 lbs boxer has simply a physical advantage over an equally "athletic" 200 lbs boxer.

Also you can be a little bit fat and still be in shape, cruiser Haye while having totally no fat had a pretty bad cardio...
Ali didn't look half as good in the 70s but had a better stamina.

And just to say, it was the fattest Lewis ever who TKO'd 6 the "iron hammer"

Michael Dokes wasn't even the best contender of the 80's, but he shows better combination punching, head movement and body punching than todays contenders.

Tim Witherspoon? Far more talented than todays fighters.

Cooney would fit right in today and yes, Witherspoon is better than everyone you named. You need to learn about this sport son, because right now you come off like a fool!

Witherspoon is not any better than Byrd, Ibragimov, or even Haye. Those guys would most likely box TERRIBLE Tims ears off. Especially Byrd. Type with sense boy

Yeah Holmes went 12 rounds with Holyfield... uh ok. Fight wasn't close in the end. Clear decision for Holy. Homes survived against 205lb Holyfield :good Ibragimov survived and took flush shots against 242lb Wladimir. Whats your point? That boxing math **** just validates that you don't know what you're talking about. "Errr this guy went 12 rounds with this guy that decisioned that guy and won on cuts v.s that guy." LOL Get the **** outta here

And Tyson was basically a punching bag that went 8 rounds. He didn't have Lewis out on his feet during the fight. Nor did he make Lewis act like a bitter ***** during the post fight interview. Wonder why Lewis was so sour after the 6 rounds with Vitali? :think He didn't act that way after Tyson or any of his other 'wins'. Could it be that deep down he knew who was getting the better of that fight. :think :good

Lewis was so saur because of Larry Merchant's questions, many other Boxers have been pissed at Larry Merchant Post Fight.

I don't think you even watch any of these fights. Byrd was never down against Golota and Golota didn't win the fight. Stop posting bull****. At least watch a fight or 2 instead of just writing useless crap here.
