Would Wladimir Klitchko be able to stop James Toney?

    Don't think so... Toney is a defensive wizard and Wlad would probably be content with the points win.

    todays toney, absolutely. if oquendo can hit him, imagine what a klitschko would do...

    It would be rather hard to catch Toney, cleanly, with a straight right, but the left would soften him up. But I think in preparing for Toney, I think Steward would have Wlad work on developing his uppercut mnore than he has in the past, and that punch would be taylor made for a short, head down opponent like Toney.

    And given Wlad's size and power (Toney has neither) , I think he'd drop Toney, and probably stop him.

    Yes he would..

    Why? Because apparently he would KO Ali within 5 rounds.

    I could see it getting stopped due to accumulation or 'marked superiority' but, no, I don't think Wlad just ices him to a 10 count.

    yes and here is why:

    James Toney has ZERO power at Heavyweight and Wlad would not be afraid to let his hands go. It would look like the second Byrd fight. Wlad is a whole different animal offensively when he knows his opponent can't hurt him.
