Would you agree that Danny Garcia beat Matthysse the way Matthysse beat Provodnikov?

Practically shut off the 'upcoming terror' by moving, counter punching and generally boxing his way to victory rather than the desire of our forth coming opinions of how it would really pan out.

I saw these three boxers as animals. And still do! Garcia vs Matthysse was a mouth watering fight on the UNDERCARD of a bigger fight. We never thought this would go to the scorecards. It did. Garcia showed brain. We move on. "Whats that? Matthysse vs Provodnikov?" That was my fight of the decade before these two fought. Id have rather'd that then the May/Pac fight. In my head this fight would smash every contender out the park.

Although Prov/Matt fight was good, it did not live up to the expectation I had vividly imagined. Im almost embarrassed to say, more so, than the disappointment of May/Pac. Because i always new Floyd would outbox him but if i want anyone to succeed in his demise, it would be Manny. With Prov/Matt there are no emotions attached. You know its an all out warfare. The fight didnt live up to expectation although satisfyingly decisive. Why? Because Matthysse showed brains. He wasn't the animal rushing in. He showed his boxing similar to how Danny turn't that same curve with him.I want the animal rushing in. I want a guy with no brains. So now my favourite fight would be Ruslan Provodnikov vs Brandon Rios.

    Bull vs Bull

No, just becaused Lucas was pressing the action and going forward against Garcia doesn't mean he wasn't being smart, actually he was fighting smarter than Garcia. For most of the fight, Lucas neutralized Garcia's left hook and Matthysse won at least 7 rounds out of that fight. Even with the knockdown and even with Lucas eye closed, Garcia would have been lucky to just get a draw, but a UD was ridiculous. Lucas going forward against Garcia looked NOTHING like Prov pressing the action vs Matthysse.

    No
Garcia landed excessive low blows and was credited for a knockdown which wasn't legit. Take away the knockdown and it's a draw on the scorecards. Everytime mattysse came on in the fight he got hit low. Worse then loma vs salido.

Matttyysse vs Garcia was a much closer fight

Mattyysse did not respect Garcias like he did ruslan he was the aggressor because he was the bigger puncher in the Ruslan fight he had to box and be evasive because ruslan seemed the bigger puncher if Lucas tried to go all out forward against Ruslan like he did against Garcia he would of gotten stopped.

I had it for Garcia. No it wasn't a UD scoring but Garcia won nevertheless.

Prov took a bigger beating from Lucas than what Lucas took from DSG.

In a perfect world Garcia would be disqualified for constant low blows or at least lose the fight on the cards with multiple deductions whereas Lucas would always win the Ruslan fight.

Every single response so far has been about the fight itself. Think about mentality, record, time in career...
