    Can anyone top that?

Can you recall any fight with the same magnitude and same result of an upset?

Yes without a doubt. There will be some poster's that come on here and say all the signs were there for Tyson to be beat, but noone said that in 1990, people become much more informed after the fact. Noone thought Tyson would lose that night, and those that say they thought he was beatable surely didn't think he was beatable by a 42-1 journeyman. BIGGEST UPSET IN HISTORY!

It is close to the biggest upset ever. Although Tyson being out of shape and taking his opponents for granted contributed to this loss. The Tyson of 1987 would have knocked out Douglas in 3 or 4 rounds.

Of course. This is the perceived equivalent of someone like Gianluca Branco or Michael Jennings coming along and completely dominating and knocking out the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Manny Pacquiao. It just DOESN'T HAPPEN. Keywords; perceived equivalent.

If you lived through tyson douglas, you know exactly how insane it was. Mike tyson was a god before that loss.
Like being called the best heavyweight since Ali.

I think it is the biggest upset in boxing history by far, and definitely in the top 10 or so - maybe even top 5 - upsets for ANY sport. I am hard-pressed to think of any boxing upset that came even remotely close to the shock that we were delivered that night. How anyone can think otherwise astounds me.
