Would you agree that Douglas-Tyson is the greatest boxing upset of all time?

"Haven't seen the fight yet. But I would like someone to post their thoughts about it."

It's hardly surprising that there's no votes for that option... that'd be pretty sad if it did.

Greatest upset performance based on prefight perception, Yes.

But the fight itself is overrated. Tyson was getting his asswhooped from round 1

This is slightly off topic, but I hate when they show a retrospect on Tysons' career or show classic fights they always show this fight. They show this fight on TV more than they show Tyson's most significant wins (eg: Berbick to become the youngest heavyweight champ of all time).

I guess as a Tyson fan it gets annoying.

The biggest upset of the history will be when Pacquiao knockout out Fraud in the first round. Mark my words. :tong

Well it certainly ranks up there. There are alot of major upsets, even fairly recent ones. Personally, I think Tyson losing at that time to ANYBODY would've been a major upset.

Yes, it's a top 5 in sports history as well, could probably be #2 next to the Miracle on Ice in the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid. It's where a US hockey team comprised of college kids beat the Soviet Union consisting of players who beat an NHL All-Star team

Off the top of my head I'd put the 69 Mets and the 1980 US Hockey team as equal if not more significant.

lmao... American propaganda, my friends. Don't get it twisted. Douglas over Tyson makes the the 80' hockey final at the winter Olympics look like a game of darts between two drunks in a bar somewhere in 1991.
