Mormeck was the other fight. Thats why its past time for Wlad to face another top rated heavyweight. Thompson was a mandatory and may have been top ten, probably pretty close to the 10th spot, but still may have been top 10. Considering it was a rematch of a match Wlad clearly won the first time it was a pretty uninspiring match up.

Wlad has clearly faced a number of top rated heavies and, overall, his competition has been very good. But he's on a weak(for him) run right now and Huck would continue that run. There are a number of better matches than Huck out there for Wlad and since its been well over a year since he's faced a top opponent he needs to get back to doing so.

 

After last night Huck is no longer among the Top 10 most desirable opponents for Wlad. So most fans wouldn't approve, since Wlad's competition has been lackluster of late. Mormeck, Thompson, now Wach. The last is the hardest to defend since Wach's best win is freaking Tye Fields. So Wlad's next fight should be an established contender--preferably Povetkin or Pulev.
