Would you be in favor of bringing back the 'Old School 8' weight classes?

Ok yeah, or maybe adopt the ufc weight classifications?
Edit: Nevermind juust looked at them. Ilike your idea better.
Original 8+ 200lb cruiser. So 9 weight classes is good.

they were in the golden age. And a 176lbs guy would of course make LHW or even MW, so that isn't an argument. It's high in the 180's when it becomes a problem

No. I don't mind the weight divisions.

    I would like:

    Same day weigh-ins
    1 title per weight divisons.

Yeah, if you're a full grown man and you weigh less than 112 lbs, maybe look into horse jockeying.

Get rid of catchweights. Get rid of all the small men divisions that are 3-4 pounds apart. I would add a SHW division though. 176 guy fighting 240 guy seems excessive. Let's face it, "nutrition" has changed a lot.

If you croak because you were dumb enough to drain yourself the DAY OF the fight, that's your own damn fault. Don't be an idiot and you won't die.

I agree but what else is ignored is fights are stopped so much quicker these days.

Actually people often complain about bad stoppages.

You sure about that? Old time lovers have no problem whatsoever when "golden era" boxers were feasting on blown up light heavyweights :think

I say bring those times back. Let today's heavyweight brutalize 190 lbs opponents. Maybe that will make 'em say "golden era" again.

Nobody would dehydrate without the possiblity to rehydrate.

It's always people that don't know how the rehydration process works opposing same day weigh ins :-(

I've always wondered about all the odd numbers. Why not 10 pound increments ?

    120 Bantam
    130 Feather
    140 Lightweight
    150 Welter
    160 Middle
    170 Super Middle
    180 Cruiser
    190 Lt heavy
    Heavy

I've always thought light heavy should be the class right before heavyweight.

    Something like that.

Also guys purposely ****ing out every ounce of fluid to make a weight then hydrating up with huge weight advantages is stupid. Just fight one division up.

Figure out what weight suits you best / you feel the best at and pick your weight class accordingly.

    Same day weigh ins.

Stop becoming a fat **** between fights.

If your fight weight is 160 stay at 170 even with no fight on the horizon.

**** you get paid to be in great condition and more importantly have a responsibility at the end of the day to yourself and your family to do your best in a brutal sport to be safe as you can.
