Would you be interested in Minotauro vs Lesnar next for both men?

Yeah, I'm very interested. Lesnar sucks too bad to bust his Chin on the feet (something I wouldn't want to see) and I want to know how much Brock's submission defense has really improved. I mean, yeah, he destroyed Mir's half guard and beat him up badly but we are talking about a guy with a proven record of falling apart mentally and turning into a punching bag as soon as the first sweep or submission fails and he gets hit, a la Freeman, whereas Nog's guard will be threatening until the fight is over or he's KOed.

However, regardless of Nog pulling out the magic one last time for Schaub he's still got a Glass Jaw, he's still moving like a ninety year-old, and you can rest assured that Comprido will have Lesnar well aware of how Minotauro's "double wrist control and eat punches" strategy works. I think the best outcome is that Lesnar decides that he should play it safe and keep it standing and gives Nog a chance to shatter his pathetic Chin because even though Lesnar is far faster and more fluid, his boxing is absolutely terrible.

"Double wrist control and eat punches strategy." I'm pleasantly surprised. He really did give a good analysis if would have left out the chin ****. There isn't a chin in mma that can handle a sustained Lesnar ground and pound. Lesnar can do so much damage in such a small space.

 

I think people should watch the three minutes of Saturday's fight before he rocked Schaub.

I think he has a lot of power standing, but is lacking in precision. Look at how that one right hand effected Herring.

As happy as am I with the fight on Saturday, I still think Nog should stay away from anyone with any sort of physical power

It's twice in a row now Schaub has been made to look totally inept on the back foot and ended up with his back to the cage, with varying results.

But I think MM and Popkins have hit the nail on the head in this one, and Brock still has a hard straight right when he chooses to use it

Nog wont eat to many shot in guard with out folding or back up and overwhelm Brock in the stand up. Maybe he can pull off a sub but Brock seems to be able to pin you down and smoother you and land vicious g'n'p with limited space

 

Well yes there are...at least offensively. And given how flat footed Nog was and how ineffective his wrestling was...he'd be a sitting duck to be taken down and mauled by Lesnar.

 

The thing is they're not going to go down this route anyway...Nog has never drawn a decent rating or pay per view in American in his life. They're not going to waste Lesnar on him...especially after his protege JDS completely negated Lesnar's drawing power on TUF.

Nog/Mir II to set up Lesnar/Mir III makes sense if they can organise it. Assuming Nog was to lose you could then pair him up against somebody like Cro Cop or Nelson for the Japan show.

 

You have to be a sadist to want to see that.
